Summary
Lucy Parsons wants absolutely nothing to do with the Westmoore family or the maple syrup they produce. When Sierra Westmoore blows back into town after her father's death and tries to rent a room at Lucy's family's bed-and-breakfast, The Maple Inn, Lucy kicks her out on the spot. It doesn't matter that Sierra hasn't set foot in Maple Run in fifteen years—the Westmoores are not allowed.
But small towns don't leave a lot of room to hide, and Sierra and her brother, Drake, have set their sights on improving the town's opinion of them now that their father is gone.
Lucy doesn't believe any Westmoore could have good intentions, and although she may have to play nice with Sierra, it doesn't mean she's going to like it.

Hallmark worthy
Lovely story, I really loved all the characters in this book and could easily find myself falling for either lead.
Amazing narration by Lori Prince as usual, I only found this story due to her being the narrator and I'm happy I gave it a chance.

Thoroughly enjoyable
The old saying about assumptions seems to work pretty well for the core of this novel. Well worth a listen as are all McCallan’s novels.

A sweet slow burner
A pleasant enough listen but didn't catch my emotions or grab my imagination.
A real shame too that nobody checked to get the correct name for Patricia Highsmith's famously iconic, 1952 lesbian novel, "The Price of Salt" (now better known as "Carol", from the film), NOT, as stated in this audiobook, 'The Prince of Salt". It spoke volumes and indicated to me that neither author, narrator, producer nor Audible care very much about this production. Sadly, that's how it comes across.

Great book as always
lovely story, great characters and backdrop with lots of anticipation although the writer using the sake phrases in this book as ger other books which is cringe. all kisses in all her books are 'her lips brushed across" and unabashedly, and so on. some identical comments in thos book that mirror others she has written. as I like this author I am hitting her books each week one after the next so it's more noticable. Editor needs replacing. apart from this the story was a nice one with the narrator doing it more than just justice. My new favourite narrator and new favourite author.

Really enjoyed it!
Lori Prince did a great job as always! First book I’ve read by this author and I really liked it. Will definitely try other books by them.
