About this listen
When it came to love, I thought that I had it until it came crumbling to pieces. Now, I just have to protect my son and I…
I didn’t expect someone else to become a part of my everything. Dealing with my abusive ex-husband caused me to run away. No one wanted to take a chance on me.
I was a stranger, someone they didn’t know how to deal with. Thankfully I got a job but where would I live?
Jun, a notorious playboy who decided to save me from everything, might not be as bad as I thought he was with those piercing brown eyes and crooked smile. His gigantic frame could scare anyone away.
The sexual tension is there, very evident. But when my ex decides to make his appearance, will Jun stay by my side and fight with me?
Taming the Mountain Man’s Fire is a fiery standalone mountain man romance story that will have you falling in love with the man of your dreams. No cheating, no cliffhangers, just swoon-worthy HEA guaranteed.

Short but too long
For such a short read, there was quite a bit that could have been trimmed. The first chapter felt like it dragged, and when chapter two began, I actually thought it might be a different book. The story lacked focus and felt like it was all over the place, dragging on unnecessarily. It took far too long for the main characters to meet—almost 15 minutes into the story for such a short book. At least two chapters could benefit from more editing due to skips and repeats. Finally, around 25 minutes in, the story seemed to start moving in a meaningful direction. Including more character and romance development would have made the story feel fuller and more engaging. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a great listen. A generous 3 stars.
