Summary
Buckle up for a wild ride as Dixie Whiskey finds forever love in TAMING MY WHISKEY, a funny, sexy, and emotionally riveting standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!
In TAMING MY WHISKEY....
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.
As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business - and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.
When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops - sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand - going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn't looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

Loved this story and the narration so much!
Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow narrate this story beautifully. I enjoyed both of the ways they brought the characters to life.
I love Dixie, she is soooooooo feisty and just, I wanna be her when I grow up! I loved this story and the whole set up behind it particularly the way that Dixie and Jace danced around each other so much. I would happily spend a lot more time in this world as I feel their story is probably not over...

Another great addition to the Whiskey's Series
Taming My Whiskey is the second book from The Whiskeys series that I have indulged. Luckily they are standalone so you can read any of the books in any order.
This book focuses on Dixie Whiskey, she is the only sister out of the Whiskey siblings and her brothers are very protective of her. The Whiskey’s are a close family unit and she has seen each of her brothers find love, when will it be her turn? Right Now!
Jace Stone is needed a model for his calendar and Dixie outright refuses, but then she sways and agrees. They have known each other for a long time but unbeknown to each, they both had a crush on each other.
I like Melissa Foster’s books because there is always someone you ‘know’ from previous books come in, like Bones, ahh how I loved him! But she can also come up with new ideas for her romances. For someone with so many books out, I don’t know how she does it, but she does it well!
This was another fantastic book that kept me hooked from start to finish. The narrators kept my attention and it is nice having the two narrators for each point of view.

Long Distance Romance
Dixie Whiskey is 30 years old and lonely. She’s happy surrounded by her family and friends, working in her family’s bar and auto shop and being the most doting auntie on the planet, but she’s the last of her siblings to find their love match.
Dixie has had a crush on Jace Stone since she was 18, what she doesn’t know that when he first met her, as a man of 27, she wriggled under his skin, but knew he had to stay away. When an opportunity comes up for his business he knows he wants Dixie involved and is prepared to do anything to get his way, even if Dixie is reluctant. Let the wooing commence!
I’m very fond of this group of characters that I’ve read about over several books. The family is big, boisterous and kind. Dixie is over protected and despite her frustration with this she knows it comes from love. I don’t think I would have put up with it as long as she did though!
Jace is the quintessential alpha male. He’s big, strong and handsome, works hard and loves his family. He has resisted settling down because he loves his job and to travel too much to give it up. He can be a bit of an idiot when it comes to relationships because he hasn’t had any.
This was a sweet romance and barring a few miscommunications there was no real drama, except of their own making. This makes it a nice easy read and gives a great mushy happy ever after.
With regards to the narration I found the voices for Jace and Dixie’s points of view to be really convincing. They were natural and good at conveying emotion without being too over the top. They both allowed the characters to speak through them without forcing it. I’d definitely keep an eye out for other books both Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow have worked on.

Beautiful
Stone is attempting to find the perfect woman to be the face of his company. He doesn't want just any model. He wants an authentic biker chick. He has a specific woman in mind, but doesn't think she'll take on the project. When the one who does accept, breaks her leg, he discovers that his original lady has done a similar job in the past. He decides to try to talk her into it. I really enjoyed this story. Had I known that it was a book 6, I'd of tracked down and bought the first 5 before listening to it. I was already too deep into the book before I discovered it, though. It's probably for the best. My book allowance is non existent these days. Considering how this story played out, it seems like the series is a stand alone series that can be read out of order. It's just that I'm the type that reads series in order regardless of if they are stand alone or not. The characters were pretty amazing. It focuses the attention on Stone and Whiskey. For obvious reasons as they are the main part and point of the story. I just kind of wish that some of the background characters had a bit more of a highlighting role in the story. Sometimes I got a little confused with who was who and where they belonged. Not too often though. Thank goodness. I really enjoyed the narrators. I am not sure if I've ever listened to anything from Devra Woodward before. I am willing to listen to other audiobooks by her though. I have listened to Aiden Snow before. He's a very delightful listen. I plan to listen to more of his in the future. He's got this really soothing voice. I really enjoyed this story despite not being able to read the first 5 books that were before it. It was hilarious and glorious. I wound up giving it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I'd of given it full 5 stars, but I felt like some of the major points of the story were overlooked and rushed over. It didn't ruin the story, but it did leave some questions unanswered.

Good listen!
I really enjoyed this one! It's a stand-alone but there are a LOT of characters from previous books mentioned, so I wish I had read the prior ones--just a personal preference. Dixie is a strong woman--she has to be with three older brothers. She and her friend (and childhood crush,) Jace come together when he asks her to be a spokesperson for his Leather and Lace clothing line. They have all kinds of chemistry but want different things. I loved watching their romance play out. Their back and forth was a little crazy at times, but with personalities as big as theirs, you know there's gonna be fireworks when they come together. This was a sexy, fun story with lots of family and heartwarming moments and fantastic narration.

Young love never died
I liked this story and I loved the big family and all the secondary characters, my only regret is never reading the other books in this series so I had more background info before reading. When that’s said, it can easily be read as a standalone.
Dixie and Jace’s story is a sweet one about young love that never leaves your heart.
I loved the dynamic between them and the chemistry was hot and clear from the beginning.
Characters descriptions is very good, I feel like I know them after a while.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and good dialogues
Steamy hot love scenes that’s not “to much”
Narrators:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. Very enjoyable listening to.
5 stars overall.

Dixie and Jase!
Although Dixie loves her three over-protective brothers dearly they have a way of intimidating anyone who shows an interest in her. She knows that any man she falls in love with is going to have his hands full convincing her brothers that he is worthy but it isn’t really a factor as the man she has always wanted hasn’t shown any interest in her.
Jase creates custom motorcycle and he has always been attracted to her but he is only interested in flings when it comes to women and she is a forever kind of girl. He wants her to be the model to showcase his bikes but convincing her has become a bit of a challenge.
These two are magical to watch. Dixie knows what she wants and what she wants is Jase and as much as he was determined to keep their relationship strictly physical she had a way of getting under his skin and straight into her heart.
This is a sweet and sexy about family and love that is filled with hot chemistry, witty banter and so much emotion. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators were the perfect choice for the characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

A Precious Stone
Dixie has had a crush on Jace for years and she finally gets the opportunity to spend time with him when she is chosen to be the face of Leather & Lace for his company. Dixie keeps flirting until he gives in. He lets her know upfront that he doesn’t want a relationship and she tells him she is ok with that when she knows deep down that isn’t true. Jace was hurt by a woman in the past and that’s the reason he doesn’t get close to anyone. He cares about Dixie but just can’t forget what he went through. I love strong female characters and Dixie is definitely one. She cared about Jace but remained true to herself. Jace was a little. rough around the edges but had a good heart. I liked that he shared his story with Dixie so she would know why he was the way he was.
I really like the friends to lovers trope and this one is very well written and I loved the family dynamic. This book is part of a series and can be read as a standalone.
I loved the narration for this book. Aiden Snow and Devra Woodward had the perfect voices for Jace and Dixie.

Well worth the wait
This was so worth the wait that I needs reading again so I haven't missed a thing. Jace and Dixie are both very strong characters as we know from previous books they have appeared in. Dixie has had feelings for Jace since she was 18, he has tried not to have feelings for her. These feelings explode when she agrees to do his calendar in New York. This is a great story of love and knowing what is important to make a relationship work. Love catching up with previous characters and what is happening in their lives. Thank you Melissa. Once again a good narration brings the story to life. Love a good audio book
