Great resource
Comprehensive, clear, concise and up to date. As a parent of a child recently diagnosed with ADHD, I gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of my daughter's condition now and what the future might looks like. Good advice on what to do and what not to do when managing behaviour in an ADHD child and a well structured and comprehensive section on medication. Thank you Dr Barkley!

Highly Recommended
I read so many books on ADHD but this one stood out. This is the one and only book that really put everything in perspective. After reading this book I understood my son better. I have already recommended this book to so many friends who have kids with ADHD. ADHD is not just problem with focusing, the name is wrong. The narrator does a great job too.

Great resource however I got lost not being able to check what the chapters were about. I wanted to go back to listen to a specific topic, but I was unable to find it.

robotic narrator
The narrator was dull and robotic and it let the book down. Her voice was melancholy and she sounded like a stobby therapist

Scientific enough but not broad enough
As someone with mild adhd I felt like this book did not recognise how big the difference is between mild and severe adhd. I have mild adhd, my husband is somewhere in the middle and I can say that our lives couldn't have been more different. As someone with IBD, I can tell you that it's a different experience for each one. Someone may have their intestines removed within a year while someone else might live with it without too much trouble for decades. Same with adhd. I have never felt disabled. I may have felt like I have weaknesses buf not disabled. This should be acknowledged by doctors.
