Summary
Never make a deal with a billionaire, particularly one who’s a vampire....
The deal is simple: spend a month with a mysterious billionaire who is the owner of Louisiana’s La Petite Mort Casino, and he’ll forget my father’s gambling debts. If it means saving our family home and business, I’ll do anything.
With his strong, sexy, take charge arrogance, Nicolas Dupont is a mystery to me. But it doesn’t matter how hot he is. This is purely a business arrangement. Nic can have any woman he wants and it makes no sense that he'd be interested in a virgin like me. I’m certainly not about to fall for a guy who thinks he can own me.
So I go hunting for a way to free myself. When I discover I’m the hunted, and there are those who want my blood, Nic claims he can protect me. But can I trust one of his kind?
When this began, I thought I might lose everything. Now I’m not sure if I’ll make it out alive....
Taken by the Vampire King is 66,000 words, is the first audiobook in a trilogy, and ends on a cliff-hanger. It's recommended for 18+.

I am very new to audible, but this story had me sushing my husband in the car as he tried to talk to me. it follows the pattern all us fiction readers crave conflict, passion, conflict again and kidnap. I love it!

Excellent!!
What a great start to this series. I'm beyond thrilled to see where it goes and what will become of Miss Boucher.
Mr Nicholas DuPont has found his virgin that he needs to solidify his reign, but when he meets not so young Leia he is in for a shock. She's not only a 28 year old virgin, but also his true mate. The problem is, he's a vampire and she's not only human, but completely unaware that vampires actually exist.
Miss Leia Boucher owns her own bar, The Pour Bar and which is her mother's legacy, the one she worked so hard on before she died, and one that is in dire need of repair and one payment away from being closed down. The reason why.....her father!!
Mr Jean Boucher is a gambling addict and a drunkard to boot, who steals the money desperately needed to keep the bar and the house from being taken. He's spent all the money from his dead wife and has been stealing from Leia for years now.
Mr Nicholas DuPont owns the casino Jean favours and has built up a debt of over $100,000 credit and now Nicolas is going to collect on the terms as set out in the contract, which he used as collateral....that being the home and bar that once belonged to his wife!!
However, when he turns up to collect, Leia not only finds out how much her father owes, but that she's about to lose the home that has belonged to her mother's family since the beginning of Baton Rouge.
Yet, her father had also added a sub-clause of which he can use instead and when given the chance he takes it without a thought for his daughter!!
Want to know what it is??
Then you'll need to buy the book and read it for yourself 😂😂
Now onto the audio and the two narrators used for this. It's the well-known husband and wife team Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. I love listening to these two, but the only issue i have with them is the fact that they tend to have the same voice for each character throughout.
However they are great with accents and their New Orleans accent is absolutely on point. But they have a nice smooth reading style, which is why I like them regardless of all the females sounding the same and vice versa for the male characters. I
So if you want to read a great book and have and enjoyable narration then trust me, this book and audio are for you 😊😊
