Summary
Geoffrey Staddon turned his back on the best things in his life. He turned his back on the beautiful house Clouds Frome, his finest achievement as an architect. He turned his back on the woman he loved, Consuela Caswell, and who loved him in return.
Twelve years later, amidst the tatters of his career and marriage, he is forced to contemplate the remorse and shame of his betrayal. Take No Farewell
Although this novel was really difficult to get into and I had to rewind it a few times, I'm glad that I persevered. It was really long listen though.
The narrator, John Telfer, was excellent and managed a range of accents with consummate ease.

Totally involved and riveted throughout.....
So eager to follow the outcome I even carried my audible player around with me. Desperate for the ending and epilogue, now am still stunned a few days later. Oh my goodness! Sorry, lost a star!

Superb
I was doubtful about this book at the beginning, not being an enthusiast for historical novels, but it quickly gripped me. The story is well structured and engaging and the narration excellent. Highly recommended.

Take No zfarewell by Robert Goddard
This is an excellent book written by an obviously educated person.
The development of the plot always surprises and these surprises continue right up to the last page, I found it a fascinating listen, one of my best purchases. The plot is so original, so imaginative yet so believable.

Loved it
So unusual to listen to a book with a romantic thread as well as a great storyline otherwise, from a man’s viewpoint! It was beautifully read. Can’t wait to find more Robert Goddard books.

Goddard never disappoints
Another excellent book from one of my favourite authors. Lots or twists but I guessed fairly early in the book who the perpetrator might be however even though I was correct there was more to do it than I anticipated.
You always get your money’s worth from Goddard as he writes long books which is more than can be said for many audible books some only five hours!
