Good old fashioned humour and reminiscing.
Brilliant book from start to finish. Listening to his childhood dreams coming to fruition is heart warming. Some great comedy names from past generations clearly meant a lot to Peter and paved his way into a brilliant career 🥰

Another stonking book 😀
Thankyou Peter Kay, I loved it, as a fellow Boltonian you took me on a journey down memory lane. Had to keep stopping the book to check out things on u tube eg. Watching Amarillo 😂😂😂😂, several John smiths adverts etc etc etc. I met Peter once many years ago in “ a famously known DIY store in Bolton he wrote “ garlic bread “ on a famous orange apron and he is honestly so real as he comes across and so is this book. Brilliantly written. Read it and you will see for yourself although I would recommend avoid listening to it on public transport as I received many strange looks from fellow passengers when I randomly burst out laughing 😆 the best book I have read for years…. Again Thankyou.

The real Peter Kay
It felt really good to share Peter’s life / career.
It never ceased to draw me in how the belief and love during his journey continued from strength to strength even though he had to follow an up hill battle more often than not.

Well Peter, it was an honour…
…and a privilege to hear him tell his stories. Love this man - a genius of comedic writing. I laughed and cried, usually at the same time. This audio book was narrated by him in his unique way and I will listen again and again. It’s left me searching for Phoenix Nights and Car Share to watch again. If all else fails, I might have to buy a dvd player and visit the Marie Curie shop to search out the DVDs. They’ll be well worth 50p. Got to go, I’ve got to go dogging up the back fields with my neighbour. Ta-ra luv.

don't end
I loved this book. Escapism, reminicising, laughing out loud with my headphones on. Just one funny man who is humble and puts his family first.
