About this listen

T2 Trainspotting was previously published as Porno.

Now a major film directed by Danny Boyle reuniting the cast of Trainspotting.

Years on from Trainspotting Sick Boy is back in Edinburgh after a long spell in London. Having failed spectacularly as a hustler, pimp, husband, father and businessman, Sick Boy taps into an opportunity which to him represents one last throw of the dice. However, to realise his ambitions within the Adult industries, Sick Boy must team up with old pal and fellow exile Mark Renton. Still scheming, still scamming, Sick Boy and Renton soon find out that they have unresolved issues to address concerning the unhinged Begbie, the troubled, drug-addled Spud, but, most of all, with each other.

Great fun, leaves you hanging... wanting more

Fantastic build up, my only nagging problem is the background plot seems like a re-run. Like return of the jedi to star wars. You know what I mean when you've heard it. Still well worth a look, great end leaves you wanting to know what happens to them next. Narrator is great, lots of passion. I also love it when male narrators have to speak from the point of view of a women... brings out the imature lad inside of me!

Terrible quality recording

Books good but the recording is awful. I’m not sure how this made it in to audible.

Great story/narration let down by audio quality

audio quality extremely poor. Could literally hear other ppl talking in the background and cut away at points to next chapter before finishing the last sentence of the previous chapter. Tam has a great voice and his delivery is great but totally let down by the poor production and audio quality.

Loved it but crap sound quality!

Brilliant sequel to Trainspotting.
Well narrated but unfortunately the sound quality is poor and the editing a bit harsh in places.
Other than that, great

Funny and filthy.

If you like train spotting you will love this. An excellent bit of narration. I have read the book which was hard work. Really enjoyed the experience.

Feel like I need a hot shower to scrub clean...

Really quite disappointed with this. I feel Irvine Welsh writes like a naughty school boy who is showing off to his pals about how crude he can be or how much he can swear! I'm no prude but bits of this just made me cringe!!!
At the very least have a woman read the female parts instead of a guy who sounds like Rab C Nesbitt trying to put on a posh, female voice!!
I don't know if Welsh is aiming for a storyline or an attempt at erotic fiction but it's not a patch on Trainspotting and a shame to see great characters wasted.

Great sequel to the classic! Shame about the editing and sound quality!

Great sequel to the classic! Shame about the editing and sound quality!
End of each chapter is cut badly and terrible sound quality on recording.

Really looking forward to how it translates to silver screen
