Summary
You’ll want to stay. Until you can’t leave…
A group of strangers arrive on a beautiful but remote island, ready for the challenge of a lifetime: to live there for one year, without contact with the outside world.
But twelve months later, on the day when the boat is due to return for them, no one arrives.
Eight people stepped foot on the island. How many will make it off alive?
A totally addictive psychological thriller with twists and turns you just won’t see coming. Fans of The Hunting Party, The Castaways and The Sanatorium will be totally gripped from the very first second until the final, breath-taking conclusion.

Missed The Mark
Although this came highly recommended, I found it very long winded and nothing much really happened! It was a hard listen and not over keen on the narrator

An awesome book
A flat out brilliant book.
It’s interesting enough to keep you fixed to the pages throughout. It’s exciting enough to keep you reading with increasing pace..its thrilling enough to keep you up at night.
Couldn’t ask for more in a book.

Excellence.
Kept me enthralled from beginning to end! No dilly-dallying around with unnecessary 'insights' into the workings of the character's inner-self. Absolutely superb!!

Reality TV meets Lord of the Flies
I loved this book! I expected it to be a bit tame/predictable but it really surprised me. I really liked the main character (I think I related to her in a lot of ways) and unlike some other reviewers I liked the fact it was all from her POV. The book is about bullying / manipulation and its effect on victims, not on why some people become bullies in the first place, so it made perfect sense to me that it was told from Maddy’s perspective. The description from the author was also great - added to the story wonderfully and really made me feel like I was there with Maddy every step of the way. Yes some parts of the story were a bit far fetched, but they worked well within the concept of the novel. Narration was also fab. I am looking forward to more of Sarah Goodwin’s books. Thank you Sarah and Audible!

Good but too long
The story was dragged out too much, there were long chapters of very little happening at all. I was interested in what happened, but often found myself getting bored waiting for some sort of event. The narration was excellent.
