A coming of age adventure

This was a great adventure with a group of padawans/younglings finding their feet in a battle with drengir. As that implies, there were threads of difficulty and real peril, and the struggle by Cam (our padawan protagonist) to find his way after his master's disappearance early in the story. I really enjoyed meeting Cam and following his journey; the effect of his vocoder voice, and his coming to accept it, was a conceit that really worked for me as a listener. Conversely, I found Tep Tep's voice a little wearying; the performance was great (all the characters had a real unique aspect from the narrator) but the pitch was sometimes challenging, though that's certainly a purely personal preference.

This is cited as "part one" but it's definitely a complete adventure - don't worry about being left on a cliffhanger!

A enjoyable little story in the Star Wars universe

I wasn’t sure what to expect as the cover art doesn’t do the story justice, but I really enjoyed the story and performance. Yes the story is set around young Jedi but it’s not a kids story. Well worth a listen.
