Summary
Across the galaxy, the Clone Wars are raging. The Separatists, led by Count Dooku, the onetime Jedi and now secret Sith Lord, continue to press forward, and more and more worlds are either falling, or seceding and joining the cause. Under the leadership of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, the Republic heroically battles on, championed by its huge army of cloned soldiers and their Jedi generals.
Anakin Skywalker, believed by some to be the prophesied “Chosen One” destined to bring balance to the Force, is now a Jedi Knight under the tutelage of his Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Death is a constant possibility - and his chances of survival aren’t improved by the unexpected arrival of an apprentice: Ahsoka, a brash, inexperienced 14-year-old Padawan apprenticed to Anakin. But there’s no time for Anakin to question his latest orders: He and Obi-Wan have been assigned a new mission, and failure is not an option.
Jabba the Hutt’s precious infant son has been kidnapped, and when the frantic parent applies to the Jedi for help, it falls to Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and their clone troops to track down the evidence and retrieve the missing Huttlet. And more is at stake: For a grateful Jabba just might allow the Republic access to the Hutt-controlled space lanes that the Grand Army desperately needs in order to beat the Separatists into submission.
But the Republic is not the only power that craves access to those space lanes. Count Dooku, determined to win the prize for the Separatists, has set a trap for the Jedi. When they find the Huttlet, they will also find Dooku’s master assassin, Asajj Ventress, and countless legions of battle droids waiting to spring a trap.
The blazing new animated feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes place in the years preceding Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and sets the stage for the groundbreaking TV series. Both contain all original material - direct from the brilliant imagination of legendary Star Wars creator George Lucas. And these exciting new adventures and characters are being brought to life in audiobook form by none other than number one New York Times best-selling Star Wars author Karen Traviss.

This is better than the film version!
The clone wars movie tells the same story, but somehow manages to be an annoying and boring film. This audiobook is somehow better than the animated film, (which isn’t saying much) despite having the same story.
This is an amazing story that features scenes cut from the film! Anyone who has watched the clone wars (show or movie) will be fans.

Awesome
Normally I stay away from books that have been abridged however after reading some reviews I gave it a listen
Some reviews criticize the voices used I have to say that you can't really judge narrators character voices against other narrators, for me the voices are spot on, little wavy here and there but nothing to gripe about. The story is spot on and well worth a listen.

Stunning!
Phenomenal adaptation, with worthy aditions to the story. Especially the Anakin inner monologue, I always felt there was room to grow with a topic this close to his past.
The production of the audiobook was amazing too, well performed and worthy of praise.

A fine novel with less than fine voice acting
This novel does a great job at expanding the Clone Wars movie. It gives plenty of insight to the minds of the characters, defining their personalities, motivations and beliefs a lot more clearly than the movie did.
Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex and the clones, Ventress and even Dooku are explored in much greater detail than the movie, making the feel more realistic and three-dimensional. Ventress is no longer just a random bad guy. She now has motivations, a reason why she hates the Jedi, and more of a heart than you might think. Dooku genuinely believes in certain ideologies that are at their core, noble. Rex and the clones are given plenty of time to develop into characters that we feel for. Rex in fact says some very wise things making a brash Ahsoka understand the importance of following orders and respecting the troops under her command.
The story much the same as the movie, but with some extra heartfelt scenes and a few variations.
My problem with this as an audio book, is the voice acting. I'm quite picky about that after having listed to the astonishing performance of Marc Thompson in the Thrawn novels. The voices in the book sound NOTHING like their clone wars counterparts, but perhaps I'm being too picky. Voice acting is difficult after all. Also, I've never heard Ventress' first name pronounced as "Ah-sage".
In any case, this book is worth your time if you're a clone wars fan. If you didn't like the animated movie, you'll like the book waaaay more

Perfect
This is almost perfectly what anakin would think and do. This is the same with Rex. I’ve watched every movie and this is almost exactly like the movie.
