Summary
Trouble follows Grant like a hound on a strong scent, maybe because he finds a serious challenge impossible to resist.
A brilliant American scientist with knowledge of sophisticated weaponry goes missing and is presumed dead. That is, until she was discovered as a prisoner of a Taliban unit led by a former US soldier. The woman is hidden deep inside a region held in the ruthless grasp of the Taliban. Any attempt to send in a military unit sufficiently strong to free her would result in a bloody battle and her inevitable death.
Jack Grant going to bring her back. No matter what the risks, no matter what sacrifices he must make. Including his life, if necessary. He’s going to locate her and bring her back. At the last moment, his sidekick Sean Kennedy, the formidable Ranger Corporal and former boxer, joins him. The two men head for the mountain range that runs through the center of the country, the Hindu Kush, to start the search. Fighting overwhelming odds, the Rangers battle to find the prisoner of the Taliban. A battle which becomes a nightmare of bloodthirsty fighting above and below ground. Even if they survive, a treacherous, backstabbing lawyer is waiting for Grant’s return to pile on yet more trouble.
Special Operations: Grant’s Sacrifice is an incredible story of a tough, violent man in a tough, violent land. A full-length novel by the best-selling author of many Spec Ops books. These include the popular SEAL Team Bravo stories, Heroes of Afghanistan, Raider, Echo Six, and Devil's Guard titles.

Operation
I loved the narration of Henry Marshall, he brings out the action, pace, emotions and the characters stories.
Grants is set on a mission to save a Nuclear scientist kidnapped by the a Taliban unit led by a former US soldier. She is now made to work with the other Taliban woman. Her husband has been murdered by them. The kidnappers do not realise, who she is. With the help of a young boy she ends up escaping and hiding . Jack has to find her and evacuate her from Afghanistan. Easy... but he has to fight the Taliban and one of his own countrymen.
Full of action and suspense .

Action Packed.
This is an action packed novel about Jack Grants mission to save a Nuclear scientist kidnapped by the Taliban. Her husband has been murdered by them and she is put to work with the mundane tasks Taliban women are expected to do. They don't realise immediately just what secrets she keeps. After her escape assisted by a young boy she ends up hiding in plain site and Jack has to find her and evacuate her from Afghanistan, will he succeed, everything is against him it seems even his own countrymen. Highly recommended listen. Henry Marshalls narration is excellent and really brings the whole story to life. *****
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.
