Summary
I thought things would get easier after my oath to the mafia don of Venice was fulfilled, but they've only gotten worse. My ex-boyfriend is in a coma. The greatest threat the magi have ever faced has neutralized 71 percent of our species and is hell-bent on 100 percent. No one knows where he'll strike next, except maybe the enemy-turned-ally whom I have no choice but to trust. My new love interest has asked for an impossible favour and there's still no sign of Janet, the woman who was kidnapped on our watch. Our forces are hanging by a thread, and the mysterious orbs have yet to prove useful.
We are out-gunned, out-matched, and we've been out-maneuvered. I'll admit things look bad. But I still have a few cards left to play in this battle to save the remaining magi, now I just need to find the guts to play them.

Will the Fire go out for Saxony?
What a great ending for our favourite Mage Saxony. A L Knorr seamlessly ties the story to a magical conclusion and Marni Penning brings it to life in her own enchanting way. It’s a none stop action adventure to the very end!

A fiery end to the series
It’s finally here! The end of Saxony’s series, and absolutely not a disappointment!! Marni Penning again does a fantastic job with the narration, And this really is a story that sees non-stop action all the way through. I struggled to pause it to sleep, I was so keen to hear it through! It’s been awhile since I read the story so I did know what would happen, but details were fuzzy so I enjoyed it all the more.
The final book in the series really was a rollercoaster, and tests Saxony and her friends to the fullest. Travel, love, loss, action, suspense… this book really does have it all and I absolutely loved it. Introductions to some new characters, and some old friends and favourites returning as well. I hope there will be more in this vein, but in the meantime I am more than happy to explore Abby’s other creations as they never disappoint!

Absolutely Amazing!
Absolutely breathtaking from start to finish.
Amazing conclusion to Saxony's story. I'm still reeling from all the thrills and action.
Saxony and her friends travel around the world to try and stop Nero before all fire Magi's lose their spark. Targa and Georgie make an appearance to help out too.
There's so much I could say about the book but I'd be giving away spoilers
Marni Penning's narration is superb as always, but I felt she put all her heart into this book, moreso than in previous books. You can hear real emotion in her voice not the forced type of emotion most narrators do. It's as if she is Saxony and is living out the events.
If I could give this book more stars, I definitely would.

Fantastic
Great ending to this series. Kept the suspense going til the end. Wasnt what I expected but was excellent. These characters came a great distance and learnt much. I hope that we could pick up again with them in future. A novella maybe.
