Summary

Gods walk the Realms!

Rising up from the black depths of the Underdark, the drow once more meet the dwarves of Mithral Hall. Bruenor Battlehammer, with Drizzt at his side, won't go down without a fight - but they'll have to fight without Wulfgar or Catti-brie at their sides.

Love These Books!

I've read and loved these books years ago. The narration is fantastic. Highly recommend! On my way to purchase the next one!

Good but drags a little towards the end

This particular installation of the series focuses a lot on battles, which if you're into you will love. It reminded me more of a Warhammer 40k book, but still a worthy instalment in the series.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this episode in the sagas of drizzt. A wealth of ideas for my own d&d campaign

Not the strongest of the series so far

I treat theses as good running books, I don’t like running to music and I can’t listen to highly detailed audiobooks because the require too much attention. These books are technically fine, the language and plot flows well but you can lose focus for a couple of seconds without any issues. As the characters and locations have already been covered in previous books, this is really the story of a battle, with a setup for the next more significant plot in the next book. The first third covers an event in Forbidden Realms history and puts an interesting spin on it.

Least favourite Drizzt book

Complicated, too many characters, too many things going on and betrayals
Less interesting without magic in time of troubles

Well written, loved the gut buster brigade
