Summary
If I touch her...my life is ruined.
She’s smart, beautiful, and just my type.
She’s also barely legal. The very definition of forbidden fruit. And I don’t just want a bite; I want to devour her.
Now she is standing before me, her gorgeous eyes filled with tears. She’s in trouble. She has a stalker, a dangerous one, and he’s getting closer. She needs my help.
She’s too innocent to know she should be more afraid of me.
I can no longer restrain myself. I’m about to shatter my entire life, just because of a sick crush.
This stand-alone novel is an expanded and reedited version of the previously published Mr. D.

Okay
I really wanted to like this book it started off good with a decent story and suspense but I didn't really like the turn it took it felt like it was lacking something maybe it just needed to be a bit longer, the narrators did a good job

Clever
This is a very cleverly written book. I’m still unsure as to who is the stalker and who is the stalked. I enjoyed the way the storyline unfolded. A brilliant performance.

crush
Dark stalker, romance book. With suspense, age gap, danger.
Corrine has moved to her mothers home and started a new school but as she’s late yet again she has to see the headmaster Mr Drew Dawson . When her car breaks down her headmaster gives her a lift home. He drops her off and believes her nervous actions is because she is in trouble for being late. Having to turn back because Corrine left her book in his car . He hears Corrine screaming and saying she has a gun. It is then Corrine tells him about a stalker who she never sees but feels constantly. Drew feels compelled to help, a lift home quickly becomes more, and in no time at all both Corrine . A story of obsession and possession.
Loved the dual narration of Lacey Anthony and Stephen Borne. Perfect.

Stalker Romance
I read this when it first released and loved it so I had to listen to the audiobook. It’s not your usual stalker book though there’s a huge twist near the end that you don’t see coming .

Stalker Stalking
This was a quick, twisted, depraved taboo story. The spice was hot, the twists and truths were shocking.

Unexpected
This book was taboo to say the least and the twists had me saying "what just happened?" I was reeling.
Corrine is a 19 year old high school student who is trying to find her place in the world. She's a keep to herself quiet type.
Drew aka Mr. D is her principal, he's notices that she seems to be on her own and needs help with a few things.
The way this story plays out is interesting to me and kept my attention, the characters intrigued me and kept me guessing. I didn't what to expect with how things were playing out and everything going on, I didn't know who the culprit was and never would have guessed it once it was revealed. I was shocked to say the least. I enjoyed this book and all the questions that came with it.
Lacey Anthony and Stephen Borne deserve all the stars! They were wonderful and easy to listen to. They kept my attention throughout the whole book.

Sick Crush
My mind is 🤯
Alta Hensley is Queen! 👑
I did not see that plot twist coming. I definitely predicted it going differently and I was so surprised.
Overall, amazing tab00-y goodness. The right amount of steam and great pacing.
The narrators did an amazing job. I especially liked Stephen Borne's female voices.
Would have liked a little more in the ending but that's just me.

Nothing about this story is typical, even for a dark romance.
This story took me completely by surprise. Mr. D. Is the no-nonsense, straight forward principal of Black Mountain Academy. Corinne is 19 years old and recently enrolled in her senior year. She’s truant, scattered, and trying to get her life back on track. After missing a year of school, Corrine is on her own as her celebrity mother has no time or interest in her day to day life.
Corrine seems to be a girl in trouble, and Mr. D. is alternately attracted to her and scared of her. A relationship with a student would mean the death of his career, but there’s something about her he just can’t leave alone.
There is a twist to this story that made me gasp when it’s revealed. When it’s discovered, these Mr. D. and Corrine will have to decide what the future will look like for them and none of it will be simple or easy.
Alta Hensley is one of the best authors of the dark romance genre, so I’m a huge fan of work. This story is a great addition to her canon. I really enjoyed it.

Dark & Forbidden!
Sick Crush. Yes, it may be, but it still had my attention for hours and I was captivated by the story! Alta Hensley has written a dark, twisted story for the Black Mountain Academy series, and it makes me want more! Meet Corrine, a nineteen year old senior who has transferred to Black Mountain Academy. Forgotten by her famous mother, she is on her own, and is doing her best raising herself. Drew Dawson is the principal at the academy and has had several meeting with Corrine regarding her attendance. Putting her in detention until he can reach her mother may be a solution. But when he hears what is happening to her, he takes an invested interest in her well being. Now is close quarters anything can happen, especially with their attraction. But what the result be? We know a teacher can't date a student. We know things are dangerous. We know the situation is volatile. What we find out though, is nothing what we expect! Hensley pens a fantastic forbidden romance with twists and turns that are unbelievable! Every minute adds to the suspense and corruption of the situation and I loved it! I will definitely be looking for more of her books!
Stephen Borne and Lacey Anthony bring this alive with a performance that is believable and exciting. Borne is Dawson to a "T", giving him that alpha protectiveness with a side of deviant. Anthony is perfect as Corrine, the scared, insecure, unloved girl who needs help and attention. These two complimented each other and created a world to escape in while listening!

Mixed feelings!
Student/Teacher Age Gap!
Have mixed feeling for this one!
Storyline started well, twist was interesting and unexpected. However not knowing the age gap really grated on me, I’m
Sure it was the objective for it not to be known as it was avoided throughout.
Think I would have enjoyed slightly more reading rather than listening, not the best choice of narrators for me, not because the narrators aren’t good, because the voices didn’t fit the ages for Carin she sounded more 30-40’s and Mr D sounded 60 😬 but who knows he could be, sorry!
Parts frustrated me, others I enjoyed, mixed bag.
