Become the best you can be
Sometimes I feel like my brain is moving so fast with so many thoughts that it's hard to slow down and even focus on one thing. It can be very overwhelming. If you're like me, this is the perfect book for you. This author understands. This book is filled with great methods for helping you not just overcome a racing mind, but work through that and really be the best you can be.

Great book
This is a great resource for any teenager. It can be tough being a teenager nowadays, living in a world of social media and phones.
The book gives some great strategies for dealing with anxiety, extreme emotions and how to cope in different social situations.
My teen finds it difficult to form and maintain relationships so the section on this was extremely useful

Teens have their whole life ahead of them!
Being a teenager these days definitely comes with its challenges. They are faced with one thing after another and it can get really hard at times. That's why during this very important time of their life, they need guidance to manage the stress of the day to day activities. For that reason I highly recommend that teenagers check out this audiobook to find out how they can successfully improve themselves.

A must have for schools and parents!
The authors, Reshad Nazari, Lema Hedayat, wrote a book that I believe all schools and parents should own and TEACH. the skills laid out in Mindfulness Workbook for Teens. In our society today we see on the news teens who display outbursts, anger, negative behaviors, no empathy or compassions for others or self regulation. I especially liked taking OWNERSHIP of ones' behavior, apologizing and making better decisions. Teens brains are still developing however self control of ones' behavior is crucial as well as self awareness of ones' feelings. The authors talk about the logical brain and the emotional brain so teens can understand where decisions are being made. I like the skills found in this book to help teens get in touch with their emotions and decrease outbursts or tantrums. The Distress Tolerance Skill or TIPP reduces stress with 4 steps. Splash cold water on your face, partake in strenuous exercise, engage in paced breath or do something to distract your thoughts such as meditation, soak in a tub, rehearse positive affirmations. Reshad Nazari, Lema Hedayat, provide methods such as
focusing and visualizing positive situations, self validation by speaking positively about oneself, positive communication using "I statements", boundaries, self respect and transcendental meditation. Controlling anger, outbursts, negative behaviors appears to be lacking in our society and should be taught. The great attributes one would like to have should be listed and rehearsed in affirmations to become the best person one can be. Feeling great about oneself, self acceptance, increasing self esteem, feeling accomplished and in control are all things that teens should strive and aim for in life. I hope this book is purchase and taught in all schools!!

Amazing!
An excellent guide to help teens navigate their ever-changing brain. The author explains why these skills are essential and then gives you practical skills to help improve their social life and general well-being. My kids enjoyed listening and had fun learning! It's a win for me!
