About this listen
Do you make mistakes? How many times do you forgive yourself for these? I bet you can count the answer to that on one hand if you are like most people. You see, we are conditioned to think forgiveness is a gift we give to others and don't ever keep for ourselves.
I was once the same. I then realized I had gotten to the point in my life where the baggage I had been carrying from past guilt, shame, and judgment was too heavy a burden for me to keep carrying around. I needed to do something about it as I was becoming more bitter by the day. It had started to affect my relationships and work. This is when I came across the concept of self-forgiveness and managed to turn my life around.
If this sounds anything like you, then you need to keep reading; in this audiobook I will share with you the things I learned:
- The difference between forgiveness and self-forgiveness, while the two share similarities they are both different, and the process of forgiving yourself is slightly different from forgiving others
- Why we never think to forgive ourselves, when was the last time someone said to you, "have you forgiven yourself for X"?
- 6 of the main reasons why people find it hard to forgive themselves, including some surprising ones
- The top reasons why you should forgive yourself and the dangers of you not doing so
- Simple, cost-effective daily self-forgiveness practices you can start to implement today helping you to feel lighter, less stressed, and anxious
- How forgiving yourself can help you towards attracting all the good things you want in your life
- How to forgive yourself even for what you believe are unforgiveable acts
- Forgive and forget don't always need to go hand in hand
- When to forgive yourself, timing is everything
- The benefits to both your emotional and physical health just from doing this simple act which most of us overlook
- Why self-forgiveness is an act of love and should be part of everyone's toolkit
Self Forgiveness: Why and More Importantly How You Can Forgive Yourself in 21 Days or Less is a powerful guide for anyone who wants to learn some simple and easy ways to start to feel happier with their lives. You too can reduce the emotional baggage you have been carrying around daily and often for many years by simply forgiving yourself by following the tips shared in this audiobook.

Self forgiveness
This book is so easy to follow, simple tasks to follow, I've decided to buy the kindle version to go long this audible book.
I've had many struggles throughout my lifetime in childhood and in adulthood, it caused me to make some bad choices which left me feeling guilty and ashamed especially when my children were tiny.
I did find the courage to get us all away but find it hard to forgive myself as well as the person/s who hurt not just myself but my children along the way.
I have family who I believe this book would open their eyes. In my sibling family I'm not allowed to make mistakes , I often think, they think I'm not human like themselves. I had to walk away for my own wellbeing.
The narrator was good but would also be good if it was read also by a feminine voice as well .
Still excellent and really well explained. Will be reading it as well as re-listening to it again.

I needed this
I found this audiobook really valuable. The tips are realistic and I found the tone really pleasant - not demeaning but as if someone who has struggled with the same issues as me were talking to me.
It's a nice easy listen but really makes you think about whether you've truly forgiven yourself or whether you're still holding on to emotional baggage - that's why I found it so valuable.
Would recommend to anyone who has a hard time forgiving themselves.

CHANGED MY WAY OF THINKING
I listened to this book because I really enjoyed “When No Just Rolls Off Your Tongue” by the same author.
I wasn’t expecting it to help me because forgiveness usually involves apologising to the person you’ve hurt and that person is sadly no longer here. Having done something silly and insensitive as a child, I never plucked up the courage to apologise when she was still alive because it all blew over at the time. She may have forgotten it (probably did) but it stayed with me for decades. This book helped me see that the first step is forgiving yourself, remembering that you’re only human and you will make mistakes. If I’d read this book when my friend was still alive, it would have helped me find the courage to face it.
A lovely book … short and to the point. One section was a little spiritual for me - things I don’t believe in - but it really didn’t matter at all, because the author is very sensitive to your own beliefs and doesn’t ram hers down your throat, which is really refreshing.
A great little book that made me feel a lot better.

Loved this book
This is a sweet, eye-opening, and caring book that helps you to be gentle with yourself and release shame, guilt, and many other negative emotions. We hear the word forgiveness quite often, but do we know what it truly means? And why is it easier to forgive others, but never ourselves? This book takes a look at that and allows you to self-reflect and ponder on past experiences.
I feel like this can help anyone in their life, it is something that we all need to hear and learn. And that's what makes this book so relatable.
