About this listen
Her blood brings all the vampires to the yard...
When Parsley Walker's fairytale happy ending with her dark lover is threatened, she must risk everything to get it back. Even if it means facing the most dangerous enemy of all.
Even if it means dying.
Jesse Linwood knows about sacrifice. He's spent the last three hundred years chained to the most powerful vampire alive. Festering. Hating. Killing. Now, he lives for a blue-eyed redhead's smile, and he'll take on the impossible to protect her.
Let the battle begin.

Jam packed with action, romance and more!
Almost 9.5 hours of audiobook and not one moment was boring or superfluous. The book literally started with a burst of energy, taking off where the previous ended. (On that note, if you haven't read or listened to the first book in the series... Stop! You cannot enjoy this book without that one first.)
Amanda Carney's writing unapologetically beckons and grabs the reader, demanding his/her attention. Whether it is a fight scene or an introduction to a new character or the revealing of a new dimension, the plot flows easily, quickly and gracefully from scene to scene. Really the book should come with a warning because it isn't easy to pause once the reader gets started. Honestly it took me less than two days to finish this book only because I had to sleep.
To say that Lynn Norris narrated the story is a gross understatement. She skillfully performed the book, giving voice to each creature and character regardless of how inconsequential. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance and luckily can afford to look forward to more! There is a suggestion of more to come and I eagerly, and impatiently, await it!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
