Summary
When lives intersect, what promise, love, and damage can they cause each other and overcome?
Brigid Fitzpatrick had made a life for herself following the death of her soulmate, keeping busy with her bookstore, family, and friends. She had not considered her life missing anything until two things happen: A mysterious stranger comes to town, and Brigid starts receiving attention from an unknown admirer.
Samantha Bailey walks the streets day after day, and Brigid is filled with many questions. The most important one is why the woman never stops her seemingly aimless journey? As Brigid’s friendship with Samantha grows, so does the attention from the unknown admirer. An admirer watching from the dark shadows.
Brigid finds her feelings for Samantha moving from friendship to something more. But will she let herself move on, or will she cling to the comfortable life she has made for herself? Can love overcome the pain and anguish that comes next?

Courageous and important
Wow. That was intense! A challenging subject to explore in Lesfic Romance. But i think its important to tell the lives of real people and their very real life problems. Not just perfection at every turn. And that love can happen even whilst struggling with a wretched mental illness.
Narrator was great, she and the story had me agonising for the MCs throughout. It was difficult to see how they could come through the issues they had. I'm glad the sister Janet was such an incredible support especially when Brigid seemed to be struggling with her own mental health(?). The ending was soooo needed after all that angst!
Well worth a listen. I want to say I loved it but somehow doesnt seem the right word for a book about such turmoil but I appreciate it wholeheartedly ❤

mental health
deeply moving, part sycological story of a woman suffering severe depression, meeting a local believed bookshop owner, Bridget, who is troubled by a stalker.
the only problem with the story, is that the troubled woman gets the help she needs instantly.
but the writing is excellent, and the narration is great.
harrowing, but wonderful listen
