About this listen

This is a Lesbian romantic suspense with humor and a twist of magic. Virginia, an author with abandonment issues insists nothing, not even love, can save Tori who is of unsound mind and destined to become homeless forever. What happens will surprise everyone!

Novelist Virginia Lopez bases her characters on real people who subsequently suffer the same fate as those in her manuscripts. Her bad karma has run amok and so she vows never to use someone she cares about as a protagonist again. But Tori Laurengo is forlorn at best. What harm could Virginia's words and rotten luck cause the disheveled woman who talks to herself?

Tori is homeless until a stranger offers her a place to stay at a luxurious apartment building in California. There, the socially awkward woman falls madly in love with Virginia unaware that she was chosen to be the doomed character in the author's latest novel Round Trip.

An extremely exciting book and a fantastic audiobook.

I didn't know anything about the audiobook before I started listening to it, but Tori and Virginia's story is extraordinary, a little bizarre because magic is involved, and exciting!
You are drawn into Tori's thoughts, which seem confused and she seems completely crazy, but she is so sweet and insecure and completely in love with Virginia. At least as soon as the two meet.
Virginia is a writer, who puts magical words on paper, but who seems to influence the lives of the people being written about. People are dying!
She tries to protect them and wants to stay away from writing, but magic has its own way and suddenly Tori finds herself in her lines and in her life... lots of twists and turns make the story something special!
The narrator did a fantastic job with the voices and accents! I loved it!

This book kept my attention all the way to the end.

Great book. Lesbians, a lil bit of magic, family twists, the characters are quirky and likeable, the story had me guessing and changing my mind all the time about what was happening, and I enjoyed it right to the end.

An Amazing Narration

When I read the book initially I enjoyed the unusual storyline but I have to say the narrator really brought the characters to life and put technicolour into the story for me.
I’m not an avid audio book fan but this narrator is amazing and will soon, in my opinion, be giving well established narrators a run for their money as she truly does bring each character to life in a distinct way and wonderful way.
