About this listen

The legend returns with an action-packed tale of lies, deceit and deadly power play.

Whilst checking up on the volatile situation in Kosovo the US President's right-hand man Blake Johnson meets Major Harry Miller, a member of the British Cabinet. Miller is there doing his own checks for the British Prime Minister.

When both men get involved with a group of Russian soldiers about to commit an atrocity, Miller puts an end to the scuffle with a bullet in the forehead of the ring-leader.

But this action has dire consequences not only for Miller and Johnson but their associates too, including Britain's Sean Dillon, and all the way to the top of the British, Russian and United States governments.

Death begets death, and revenge leads only to revenge, and before the chain reaction of events is over, many will be dead…

Excellent story again from Jack Higgins.

Johnathan Oliver does a remarkable reading of the novel. The story great as ever. Highly recommended.

A good Dillon Book

I like to read along with an audible, they seem to change the name of one character in this they call him Flynn, but if you read along Jack Higgins wrote Quinn, little nitpick there, but all in all just what you’d expect from a Higgins book,

However they are starting to get, at this point with this being something like book 15 in the Dillon series & 300 in Higgins’ writing life (I exaggerate a bit there) there always tends to be a French Window in some chateau, castle, house, whatever with the bad guy getting one in the shoulder, spinning them before double tapping in the back,

However as a Higgins fan from years ago (started reading his books at aged 12 & now heading into 40) I enjoyed it & will go swiftly onto A Darker Place.

Audiobook

I have purchased this Audiobook but it will not download . I can see it in my audible library and it shows as not downloaded but I can't find any way of getting it to download (I have tried using the "Launch App") still does not work.
