Help with the ironing.
I have read many of this author's books over the years and have always enjoyed them.
I have only recently discovered Audible and was pleased to find Gervase Phinn books available.
I listened to The Story of a Yorkshire Lad whilst attacking a pile of ironing and it was almost enjoyable---the ironing I mean! The book was great especially when read by the author.

Another wonderful read
After listening to the little village school collection, I listened to this biography. I had read it years ago and remembered enjoying it. I was even more taken by the captivating reading from Mr Phinn and delighted to discover that it shed light on characters and inspiration for the little village school collection. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
