About this listen
An intimate, funny and frank account of the moments behind the music, of the truth behind the headlines and of the fascinatingly complicated man behind the imperious entertainer, Reveal is Robbie Williams as you've never seen him before.
More than 12 years ago, Robbie Williams and Chris Heath published a groundbreaking memoir, Feel, about Robert P. Williams' rise to fame - a book that was met with worldwide acclaim from critics and fans alike.
Since that time Robbie has released six solo albums, reunited with his old band Take That and, in the wake of his 12th UK number-one album, returned to the stage with a sold-out run at Wembley Stadium.
In Reveal, best-selling author Chris Heath has been working closely with Robbie for many years to create a personal and raw account of fame, fortune, family and music - a vivid and detailed story of the real highs and lows as Robbie has found his way forward, that is unprecedented in its intimacy and honesty.
Long-awaited by millions, Reveal is the uncensored and compelling portrait of the man as you've never seen him before.

Not going anywhere
I persisted and persisted but could not get through this book. It just didn’t seem to be going anywhere. The book jumps around but with no real direction and a lot of repetition. I also found the accents off putting.

excellent, even if your not a robbie fan
excellent read. I'm normally put off if the biography is not read by the author. you know. If they can't be bothered to read it, then why should I. well I kind of went out on a limb with this one. or to be honest, I was bored an just clicked on this as I couldn't be bothered searching anymore.
I'm glad I did. excellent read, everything you'd expect. funny, honest and informative. definitely gives you a different view of robbie. I have met him a couple of times an kind of knew of him, with coming from the same home town it's hard not to. But there's alot I didn't know either. Goes into depth into how badly he is affected by all the negative press he receives. the way it's read, is by the author, but the other parts, I.e. robbie, aids, an anyone else that pops up, is read by an imprresionist. But is done very well.
overall good book. only reason it didn't get full stars, was the ending seemed to come pretty abruptly, think sopranos.

My heart goes out to Robbie Williams
Nobody should have to put up with the amount of abuse that is revealed in this book. Robbie, “fuck the haters”
They need to have more in their lives than hide behind a keyboard.
I enjoyed all your stories, time hopping was very difficult to follow. I loved to hear how in love you are and how much you adore your children. Good luck for the future x

Not a genuine Robbie fan
I lived in uk when Robbie had one of the last huge appearances i think it was 2002-2003.
Heard about the book on graham norton show. This was the second time on gns and he was as funny as he was last time. Got the book straight away
When i began listening i got abit upset that robbie wasn’t reading it. But the more you listen to the guy reading he turns in to Robbie and all other characters. Simply great.
You get to hear robbies problems and struggles as a young singer. As an older singer. As a boyfriend. As a dad.
He tells you hos flaws and mistakes and how media and press use him and abuse him and ayda his wife.
You never thought a superstar would have same flaws as you. Its fun all the way to the end.

Funny and frank
I loved Chris Heath's first Robbie Williams book, Feel, and enjoyed this one just as much. I enjoyed the structure, moving backwards and forwards in time, but generally tracking Robbie from his low point of the mid noughties to now, when he seems much happier, both professionally and personally. The book made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions. The Maureen story never gets old. I listened to this while walking my dog and often found myself chuckling as I traipsed through playing fields, getting peculiar looks from other dog walkers.
Excellent narration too, including some accurate and amusing impersonations of Gary Barlow and Mark Owen.
Overall, highly recommended for anyone interested in pop music and what it's actually like being a celebrity in 2017.

Open, honest and heart warming
I loved this book. I mostly listen to novels and put off this one even though it’s been on the list. I shouldn’t of because it’s the best thing I’ve listened to in ages. I am an unapologetic Robbie super-fan and proud of it, and I believe that Chris Heath conveys everything so nakedly and truthfully that this feels more like a brilliant fly on the wall docu drama and it really works. I was emotional and outraged learning of the negativity that Robbie deals with at times and I was also enthused and happy listening to the connection that comes through with Robbie and his wife Ada, who is clearly the best therapy Rob has ever had. There will always be haters, usually those who are spurred by jealousy and are pretty insensitive people, but there will also always be more of the people like me, who get this funny, eccentric, super talented legend. Rock on Robbie, this book is Awesome.

Eye opening
Never judge a book by its cover or a celebrity by their actions. we're all just trying to live a happy life.
