Summary
From USA Today best-selling author Adriana Locke comes a forbidden workplace romance between a fiery new hire and her smoldering boss.
“I had to sneeze.”
I should’ve taken her insurance information and driven off like any reasonable CEO with places to be would.
She crashed into my car, for heaven’s sake. Because she had to sneeze.
What did I do? I didn’t get in my car and drive away if that’s what you’re thinking.
Nope. I stuck around. I could suggest I stayed because she needed help, but the truth? She was really, really hot.
We became fast friends. Then friends with benefits. Before I knew it, we were involved in an illicit office romance that had me fumbling through a drawerful of panties to get a Post-It.
It was supposed to be easy - a fling, if you will. A dashing millionaire hero (*adjusts tie*) and a beautiful (stubborn, frustratingly independent, hell-on-wheels) damsel in distress. (Don’t tell her I said that.)
It wasn’t supposed to be forever, but we did want a happy ending. (Pun intended.) We could’ve made it work, too.
But one of us overcomplicated things with the L-word. And the other? They omitted a truth that changed everything.

Oliver & Shaye
3.75 stars
Unfortunately Relentless was my least favourite Adriana book. At least so far.
Oliver has come across, in the previous books, as a strong character, a bit of a playboy but levelheaded. In this book he is plagued with insecurity but still a workaholic.
When they are involved in a car accident, Shaye’s weirdness comes up and that was such a breath of fresh air to me because, yep, that’s me!! Not sure why she lost it afterwards but that ruined the book for me.
Both characters have past insecurities that prevent them from attempting to move forward with their lives and in this case I think they moved way to quick after re-meeting each other.
In terms of narrators I love Wen Ross’ performance. Amanda Stribling’s not so much. I felt Shaye was not portrayed to the best of her personality with Amanda’s narration.

Loving this series!
I can't get enough of the Mason series! Relentless is Oliver and Shaye's story and I do love a friends to lovers romance. After an unconventional meeting, they start working together, and sparks fly. Friends turns into to friends with benefits, which then grows into something much more meaningful. But the path to a good HEA is never simple! The chemistry between Oliver and Shaye is really great and they are just perfect for eachother. Wen Ross and Amanda Stribling really bought the characters and story to life. A great addition to this fab series!

Brilliant Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!
Adriana Locke delivers another brilliant novel set in her “Mason Family” series, each book in the series stands on its own and features a different Mason brother. This book is Oliver’s story, a swoon worthy workaholic who quickly become my favorite Mason brother. Shaye Brewer has not had the easiest of times, but that does not stop her from working on digging out of the debt her late husband left her in. And if she does not have enough going on in her life she gets into a car wreck one she causes, maybe it was her nerves or just her personality coming thru but she spews out why she was not paying attention which was an adorably hilarious scene and it intrigued the person whose car she hit, Oliver Mason. The two hit it off but she still would not give him her number. But fate was not done with them yet and that would not be the last that they saw of each other. Oliver needs an executive assistant and when he saw Shaye was a candidate being interviewed for the position, he made sure she got the job. Qualified, Shaye was the perfect choice, plus he’ll get the chance to get to know her better. The chemistry between them was electric and, despite knowing it could become a sticky situation, he wanted her more than ever. Wow, I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a brilliantly plotted story that is so much more than your average office romance novel, there is a perfect balance of drama, both family and relationship, heartfelt emotions, a touch angst, humor and witty dialogue and some hot romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride, it is always great to visit and spend time with the fabulous characters and world you created.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Adriana Locke could not have choses a better cast to bring her characters and their story to life, Amanda Stribling and Wen Ross are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. Both did a stellar job humanizing these characters, giving each a voice that was a perfect fit for their character’s persona, I loved how they took each role and made it their own. Amanda Stribling was a natural in Shaye’s role, strong, independent and just enough feistiness. Wen Ross’ Oliver was spot on too, a boss-man with a side of heart. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Amazing
This book made me laugh from them meeting! I can definitely seeing the same thing happening to me! Love an office romance but this took it to another level. Adriana writes the Masons as well as she did the Laundrys and I cannot wait for the series to continue and get to read Wades story.
Have listened to books narrated by Wen Ross who is brilliant. Amanda Stribling was new to me but she really brought Shaye to life.

Another Mason Family masterpiece
The long awaited story of Oliver doesn't disappoint.
Shaye and Oliver's story seems fated when a fender bender leads to oh so much more.
I love the Mason Family and how they have an almost 'musketeer' philosophy to their lives together.
The chemistry between Oliver and Shaye is seriously hot and some of their office romps will heat you from the inside out.
All in all, a great addition to the Mason family saga.
