Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Susannah Constantine, our loved style guru and one half of the outrageously popular television programme What Not to Wear, spent her youth entangled in glitz and glamour. Susannah's very first memoir is filled to the brim with scandalous stories, jaw-dropping royal relationships and star-studded encounters from pop stars to the fashion greats. But beneath it all is a woman who is still getting to know herself, even after falling in love at first sight, presenting one of the most monumental television programmes ever and having Princess Margaret as a second mother figure.

Uncertain of her future, unsure of how to cope with her own mother's tragic battle with bipolar disorder and becoming a mother herself, Susannah is on a journey of discovery, and her memoir tells you her greatest loves and lessons, bound together with disarming honesty and beguiling humour.

An entertaining few hours

Loved it from start to finish. I listened to it on my daily commute and found myself laughing hysterically not only at the anecdotes but also the way they were delivered.

Gossip about Princess Margaret

The jumping around in time and when I paused it I thinking would be good to have the last 30secs repeated

Really good!

I have enjoyed Susannah’s presence growing up - her links with London, fashion, the Royal Family etc. This honest and entertaining book covers all of my memories but adds more on a level I wasn’t anticipating. Susannah is genuinely a better, kinder & funnier person than most would think. She’s also incredibly honest about her flaws and challenges. I love her even more. Thank you Susannah xx

Witty and entertaining

I really enjoyed the first 2/3 of this book. It was interesting, funny and detailed about Susannah's life up to her early thirties. After the chapter on meeting her husband it went somewhat downhill. Susannah barely touches on her wedding or life once married apart from a few anecdotes about friends and a flavour of her husbands character. She says virtually nothing about Trinny or their time working together. I'm sure there is a reason for this but it just seems a bit odd and as if the book lacks substance towards the end.
That's why I only gave it four stars. Overall it was a very enjoyable book.

Open, honest and courageous

Having seen Suzannah on the TV and in the society pages for many years I found her autobiography hugely revealing and warm. I loved her « behind the scenes «  stories and her honesty and her own struggles were refreshingly honest.

I want to be Suzanna’s friend!

This was a very random choice as I’d not really heard about Suzanna since her days with Trinny. I’m very pleased I picked her book to listen to. I feel that I know far more about her life and didn’t realise what an interesting one she lives. Hope to have you back in our lives more often Suzanna, We need your wise words and guidance back!

From the first words to the last, I was hooked. Such breathtaking honest, humour and downright filth is just total joy. You have my absolute loyalty and support. Please write more - the world needs writing like this and soon!
