About this listen
A dead bubblegum heiress, a handful of unrelated clues, and a small island community where everyone is a suspect until they’re not....
Prosperity Spartanburg is gaining confidence in her new role as forensic pathologist for Martha’s Vineyard Police Department. Her associate Reuben Jackson certainly makes her job easier and a whole lot more enjoyable.
As the chaos of clues surrounding Ophelia Rump’s untimely death slowly start to make sense, Prosperity and Reuben get ever closer to finding her killer.
However, everything isn’t what it seems in Martha’s Vineyard and there’s more to this story than first meets the eye. As Prosperity’s mama always used to say, "you never know what you’re going to find until you unzip the sealed tab."
If you like your suspenseful mystery with a little zany fun and a touch of romantic tension, you will love The Prosperity Spartanburg Files. Fans of Janet Evanovich, Sue Grafton, and J. D. Robb are sure to grow to love this series.

As Good As This Is It Didn’t Grip Me.
I feel that I should point out this book isn’t my usual sort of thing. I think it’s best described as a cozy mystery. I don’t like limiting my choices though because you could miss out on finding a new favourite. Although this is a fun easy read it didn’t find it’s way onto my favourites list. The authors do a great job setting the scene, it’s well written and fast paced. I got a little tired of every man falling over themselves when in Prosperity’s presence though. Also, she seems to assume every one of them is ogling her even before they speak! Obviously getting that kind attention would become annoying (not that I’d know!) so I can see her point. However, later on in the book she does essentially the same thing to one of the male characters. I’m not trying to be overly critical of this book, as I said not my usual genre, because the mystery itself was entertaining and the murderer is only unveiled right at the end as all good mysteries should do. I just didn’t really fall in love with it as good as it is.
I think the narration by Camilia Lalani is very good and a good fit for the story. It’s a quality production that is clear and pleasant to listen to.
