Summary
Anna and her Naval Intelligence Agency (NIA) teammates have a new high-priority assignment: foreign raiders who are wreaking havoc within the United Alliance of Stars. They hit high value targets, have access to inside information, kill the security guards, and leave no witnesses.
The NIA team soon discovers the raiders' system has been well thought out and has no weak links to exploit. The raiders prove arrogant, resourceful, and in no hurry to leave. So when the raiders discover the NIA team assigned to catch them broke the smuggler's organization, their solution's simple - kill them.
With a Wanted-Dead-Only reward on their heads, the team finds nowhere is safe, not even on a naval war cruiser, and realize the longer it takes to unravel the raiders' complex system of communications, the more the odds favor the raiders succeeding.
But the team has an ally who might just make the difference - a Red Angel.

Gripping listening throughout
Totally enjoyed this book. It was gripping and difficult to stop listening until end. Narration was excellent too.

suspenseful
not my normal genre, but as I was intrigued and throughly enjoyed the symbiotic duo of Anna and red, I continued with book 2 and was not disappointed, each chapter leading to new clues and suspense, after losing a character in the first I was fingers crossed at every battle or skirmish. an excellent piece of writing, and I'm off to start book 3.

Very Similar to first book in plot .
First book was interesting, this second book in the series was boring.
Exactly the same plot as book one, no character development at all, author uses the same story devices . The whole immature child, super genius thing is over worked, predicable and borning. Pity as it could have been good.
I got 1/2 way through and realised I had zoned out for a chapter it was so repetitive. Skipped forward to 3/4 way through the book and found I had missed nothing and knew exactly what was going on as it was that similar to book one. snooze !
