Summary

Lorimar Pack, Book 1. War is a constant threat on Dell Preston's horizon. As beta of the Lorimar pack, her job is to maintain the peace on the new border between Faerie and Earth at all costs. Even if that means playing nice with her ex, Isaac, the fae who savaged her wolf's soul, and Enzo Garza, the flirty witch who ought to be focused on building up their magical defenses instead of tearing down the walls around Dell's heart.

Butler, Tennessee, is a pinprick on the map with a diverse population of supernaturals. It's also chockful of humans who are unaware of the magical rift bruising the sky or the otherworldly insurgents raining down into their zip code.

A local fae's disappearance catches Dell's attention, but she dismisses it as an isolated event. Until it happens again. Unable to ignore the strange happenings in her town, she begins an investigation that uncovers so much more than a simple rash of kidnappings.

Now Dell finds herself at the sharp end of a pointed ultimatum. Find the missing and return them to their families or get ready for prime time. Botch this job, and forget coming soon. The war will become tomorrow's featured attraction instead.

I'm enjoying the series

but this one is not consistent with the last book and not just with the change of reader but within the book there are a number of inconsistencies especially relatjng to the Garzers.

Enjoyed the simultaneous

Enjoyed the simultaneous time line, Dell’s story & point of view, is a refreshing change & it’s different to what I imagined. Change in narrator however, makes her appear hard & somewhat bitter, fortunately the story doesn’t, hence not 4 stars for the narrator; don’t think she’d read/listened to the other books before beginning her work, shame really. Interesting storyline, am checking out book 5 & book 6 too hopefully

Changes

Thee are changes in this book I don't like too much. First ots a different narrator so the characters feel they are different even though they are the same. The point t of view is Dell for this one, Cam and Cord aren't even there and there is talk of Bianca not having the baby yet so it overlaps with the previous book which is confusing for the time line. I just didn't love it, but I am now onto the next one - maybe it will be better ;)

Promise the Moon

This book follows the bars as she gets her best to keep the tea out of our world while her Alfa's are negotiating with the King and Queen of Sealy and Unsealy. Read brilliantly by Brittany Pressley.

Brilliant story

I really enjoyed this series. It is a good listen. I would recommend starting with the Black dog. I can't wait to listen to then next series about Theo Cahill. The whole series are a very good listen/reading.

surpringly good! review includes spoilers!

having Dell narrate was a nice surprise, the narrator was good but sometimes hard to tell who's speaking.
It does seem like Dell changed her personality from earlier books - her spunk and sass and flair seem way diminished.
also *SPOILER* I was still bummed out Enzo didn't get the time of day. I am weirdly anti-isaac.
