About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Even the world's greatest detective agency can find itself in too deep...
Santosh Wagh quit his job as head of Private India after harrowing events in Mumbai almost got him killed. But Jack Morgan, global head of the world's finest investigation agency, needs him back. Jack is setting up a new office in Delhi, and Santosh is the only person he can trust.
Still battling his demons, Santosh accepts, and it's not long before the agency takes on a case that could make or break them. Human remains have been found in the basement of a house in an upmarket area of South Delhi. But this isn't just any house, this property belongs to the state government.
With the crime scene in lockdown and information suppressed by the authorities, delving too deep could put a target on Santosh’s back.

Terrible robotic performance
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
Nobody will enjoy this - terrible awful reading
What was one of the most memorable moments of Private Delhi?
when I stopped listening
How could the performance have been better?
the performer was awful - like a robot reading - no understanding of punctuation, tone or inflection
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
story sounded great
Any additional comments?
please re-record

Dreadful narration
I’m normally gripped by these books but the narrator tried to talk in an Indian accent which was dreadful. Such a disappointing narration stopped me enjoying the storyline.

By far the worst of the Private series to date
What would have made Private Delhi better?
A stronger story, better writing and a better narrator
What was most disappointing about James Patterson and Ashwin Sanghi ’s story?
It was very poor in every respect, the awful narration and 'caricature' of accents was excruciatingly bad
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Sartaj Garewal?
Any of the previous Private narrators, good to have consistency as we see in the Rebus series of books
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Only one, it could have been longer than it was which would have just slowed down the torture of listening to it
Any additional comments?
It is often said that the art of writing is not what is written but what is left to the reader to imagine. In this story nothing was left to the imagination, it was effectively a children's story marketed at adults through some bad language and gruesome descriptions of medical procedures to get a shock factor. I hope never to listen to something so truly awful again.
So why did I listen to all of it? Necessary to give a fair review. Not even the revelation of "Whodunnit" was a surprise

Disappointment
I am shocked more then anything at this book maybe it's because the narration is sooooo bad!!!! The plot is more gruesome then usual for James Patterson however all I could think about was Abu from the quickie mart the entire time I listened

Love the private books but fake Indian accents omg
I usually love these books
I am not sure if it is the narrator or the absolutely ridiculous Indian accent he is trying to put on ...
I can not comment on the story as I can not listen to all of it
First book ever
Shame
