About this listen
A divorce decree is made null and void by murder.
Stacie Maroni, HR specialist and trauma counselor, isn't prepared for the murder of her estranged husband. His death and custody of their Maltese, Jasper, barely sink in and someone is after her. Her in-laws and her husband’s law firm strive to keep up the pretense that all is above reproach and idyllic.
As she goes through her husband’s effects, Stacie discovers possible motives for his murder. Unfortunately, neither she nor the police know why someone is after her. Whatever the true motive may be, it soon becomes clear that Stacie might be the next victim.
Can she sort it out with Jasper by her side? Mystery with a side of romance and new beginnings.

Action filled plot.
An entertaining story with an action-filled, suspenseful plot, a dash of romance, and an adorable dog. I liked Naomi Rose-Mock’s narration very much.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

A Good Mystery Murder
What is a mystery without some good unexpected twists? This book has several, and kept me guessing right to the end.
The narrator made listening to the story very easy, and as it unfolded I grew to like, or to loathe, the characters.
I would gladly read more by this author.

JOY !!!!!!
only start listening to your creation, though about 30 minutes for a start but it was such pure joy that I couldn’t put it down till I listened to the whole thing.
Even so that it was a short audiobook you Christa Nardi are a great Author managing in a 4 hours audiobook to write more then it takes many 10 hours and beautifully done on top of it.
Excellent story, nice twists, truly a joy listening to.
Narration by Namoi Rose - Mock was also a great choice for this book, she read the book as it should have without a doubt.
Fully recommended,
Oded Ostfeld.

Really enjoyed it - nice and easy story and listen
This was such a fun listen - both the story and narration worked. I just escaped into the story and it was nice and relaxing. The story was clean cut, which is unusual right now, but still fits in with the cozy style and I loved the dog.
An added benefit is that it was short but still told the story well so no padding.
I was given a free copy by the author but the review is entirely my own.

Murder
Naomi Rose-Mock does a wonderful job of narration .
This is a gentle mystery but extremely enjoyable
After a visit from the police to inform Stacie her estranged husband has been murdered, the reading of the will was rushed through and family secrets were revealed. On returning home, Stacie' s House had been ransacked but nothing taken.
So in trying to start a new ,she meets a handsome young man, who asks her to dance and buys her a drink. What Stacie does not bargain for was to see him at her front door the next morning, in uniform with another police officer, asking questions about the murder of her ex-husband.
A really great whodunit

It's a privilege to listen to this book
I loved this book. I was hooked with the first couple of words and couldn't stop listening until i finished it. I have enjoyed the authors other series The Sheridan Hendley mysteries but some how this book seemed more grown up and just as good if not better. I don't know why more grown up as there is no sex, no violence or swearing. I just loved it and think I have found a new favourite series/ character. Stacie comes across as bright and capable and unlike most heroines she isn't afraid to turn to the police for help. Despite being involved in the case it was more because of what was happening to her rather than her asking nosy questions, she still managed to get herself in trouble though. I also liked the rest of the cast of characters, who were just right for such a serious topic of sexual harassment and abuse. The mystery was good, I had no clue who the killer was and was surprised when it was revealed. A good start for a new series.
Stacie unlike her cheating husband is unable to go through with a one night stand. Which is why she is surprised when the man she tried to pick up would be at her front door. Then he sends her world spinning when he informs her that her soon to be ex husband is dead. Is her inheritance enough for her to kill him? Her ex in-laws think so. But strange things start happening to Stacie as she is nearly involved in a hit and run, her house is broken into and the media are following her every move. Stacie gets a mysterious package from her ex showing signs that he was looking into some of his work colleagues. Could that be the reason for his death? Stacie hadn't seen her husband in months but they were both involved in a womens shelter, helping woman of domestic abuse, could that be the connection for her being targeted now? If so what are they looking for?
I liked the narrator. I have heard a few books read by her and Have always found her to be a pleasant narrator with a good range of voices.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A real who dunnit mystery!
First book I've listened to on audio, loved both the experience and the book. After a visit from the police to inform Stacie her estranged husband has been murdered, the reading of the will was rushed through and family secrets were revealed. On returning home, Stacie' s House had been ransacked but nothing taken. Suspicions were forming in Stacies mind but she needed more evidence. This came in the form of an envelope sent to her place of work from her husband the day before he died.
The plot gathers speed quickly, with twists and turns that keep you guessing, then prove you wrong. There is no easing off the gas with this fantastic storyline, as Stacie keep picking her way through each clue. The book has it all, murder, suspense , mystery, abuse and romance. The ending is a surprise, will you guess who the murderer is? Great job by this talented author.

Excellent story, great narration
A really great whodunit with a light touch but some serious themes of spousal abuse. Stacie is just ending a difficult divorce when her husband is murdered. Throw in two handsome policemen and things get interesting. Well written characters, light fun dialogue, a decent mystery that does the serious subject justice and a killer that was unexpected. The Audio book has a great narrator with an easy style and good voice. I look forward to listening to more of these. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review
