About this listen
From the universe of the Until the End of the World series
Book two of The City Series is here! (Note: The City Series can be heard before or after the Until the End of the World series)
Months into the apocalypse, the zombies show no signs of dying, but it's clear everyone in Sunset Park will die without enough food to outlast the undead. Add in the less-than-sociable new neighbors only blocks away, and the hunt for sustenance has come to feel more like a race than a ramble.
Sylvie is happy in her new home with the people who've become like family, though she's still working out how to let them into her heart. Eric wants in, and he wants to find his sister, but he can't do both at the same time. If he can do the second one at all - getting into the city was hard enough, getting out may prove impossible.
Despite setbacks - and a couple million zombies - it seems fortune is working in their favor. After all, food, security, and family are extraordinary when just being alive is a notable accomplishment. But fortune can turn on a dime, and all it takes is one misstep.

Brilliant
Love this series of books. The books are so much more than about Zombies, human nature in the raw and how people live when society breaks down. More please.

Nervous....
Book two of the last trilogy was a very hard hitting emotional book. A little nervous to listen to this one.
Both narrators are back. And are doing a great job. There are a few sentences said in the wrong voice. So sometimes Plummer will narrate Eric’s voice then next time it’s back to Daniels voice. It’s a little jarring but It doesn’t stop me from listening. The Narrators can be heard over headphones and Bluetooth speaker. The voice act well without shouting. So it’s enjoyable to listen. I found lots of moments where I laughed. Really enjoying this trilogy. Still listening with a little fear of what hell the author will put her characters through.

hand to mouth tension
All stories in this zombie series are excellent.
points in the story I've sat hand to mouth, gasping with tension and amazement. the story builds beautifully and catches you off guard in delightful twists.
I love the insights into people's life in the zombie world. love, hate, despair and even a few cheeky erotica moments.

Great second story
I loved the first series and the first book of this series. This second book continues to entertain. I laughed and even cried, and was almost inconsolable at one point! Excellent narration also. Highly recommend.

When you know the apocalypse will bring out the worst in people but you hope for the best
Re-listening to the entire universe here, flip-flopping between Eric’s story and his sister’s.
Can’t get enough.
Time to return to Cassie before I come back to finish with Eric.
