About this listen
The second our eyes connected, I felt the shift in the air. The crackle of fire igniting between us. He was dark, dangerous, and secretive. He came into my life like a storm, ripping apart everything I believed in, everything I thought I knew. With his mischievous smirk, stunning looks, and alluring behavior, I should’ve ran as far away from him as I could. But I was stupid. I trapped myself in his web. I thought I was safe with him. Safe in his arms, safe from a past that refused to let go. Turns out Christian Russo was the past I was running from, and my first mistake was ever thinking I could escape him.
This is a dark stalker-mafia romance. It contains adult themes, and material that might be triggering to some listeners.

I won’t spoil it for anyone, but the way I gasped at the end! Had to get the second book immediately

The dumbest fmc in book history
Jesus.. for someone perpetually on the run, this was the dumbest and most naive fmc I have come across. It's a good book and I enjoyed it but the character itself had me eyerolling so hard at points I nearly somersaulted.

the title of the book absolutely nails it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this duet, the story, the characters, the plot, the spice and the performance of both narrator's was fabulous. this is a mafia villain/stalker romance and if the villain gets the girl is your vibe, then you're in for a treat. as always, check your book content first as when I say he's a bad guy who takes stalking to the next level and the one after that, I mean it. Despite his twisted obsession, he genuinely cares for his little mouse and has kept her safe from everyone but himself for 15 years, during which time his obsession only grew stronger. i went straight into the second book. I'll be looking out for more books from these authors. I highly recommend the duet.

oh my god!
i really really liked it! I loved both the book and the narrators did an excellent job! There are great villains in the bookworm world but christian russo is just a categorie of a villain on his own. Can't wait to read the next one.

The naivety of the female character.
it was a good story but it didn't make sense that she took the risks that she did and didn't believe anyone but him. I might still read the next book but to be fair I'm not in a hurry.

meh?!
OK for a freebie book but struggled with the naievate of the MC, made worse by the nasally narration, Made her so unlikeable and the story unbelievable, noone on the run their whole life would behave how she does. The repetitive writing/phrasing in the book "her flowing hair flowed down" ect was irritating too.
many books of the same trope that are way better than this

Heard this before…
This book is very similar to “Hunting Adeline”. They even use the same nick name for the girl “little mouse”’. Did not enjoy and won’t be listening to part two.
