Good
Now that I finally have the time to start gardening, I realized that I needed more help than I thought. I was really interested in perennials because I had heard a lot of good things about year-round plants from others who were also busy during the year.

Impressive
For serious gardeners who need information on perennial plant care. The person who recommended the book, said she lays it out on a table while she's gardening to refer to her specific plants. She loves it. I haven't worked with it yet, but look forward to using it.

Thanks sir
The author does an amazing job of explaining by perennials are the best way to go, and completely breaks down every single perennial plant based on type. I was shocked by how many useful and beautiful perennials there are, her sections of herbs sold me on the herb garden I had been on the fence about, chives, lavender, turmeric... The author is extremely knowledgeable about not only these plants, but how to plant and care for them as well, information that she provides in the later chapters

Well Done
Using her own years of experience, the author provides detailed directions for the culture of many herbaceous perennial plants. The last appendix has very helpful lists of plants grouped by attributes and maintenance requirements such as 'tolerates wet soil', 'requires staking', 'short-lived perennial' etc.
