A transition

Going from parenting teens to young adults is almost as big of a transition as parenting children to teens, if you know what I mean. It's another phase of life, it's crazy. And I think that having a book like this, to understand the transition is super helpful! Even for a young adult, to get where parents are coming from.

A Lifesaver for Parenting My Adult Kids!

I didn’t realize how much I needed this book until I started reading it. Parenting the Young Adult Years gave me so many practical tips for navigating this new stage of life with my kids. The communication strategies have been a game changer—finally, our conversations feel productive and respectful instead of tense.

I also love how the book focuses on fostering independence while maintaining strong family ties. It’s helped me find a balance between letting my kids make their own decisions and still being there to support them emotionally. The advice is simple and relatable, and it’s made me feel more confident about my role as a parent during this stage. Highly recommend this to any parent feeling a bit lost with their young adults!

The communication tips were so eye-opening.

I was struggling to connect with my 21-year-old son. We argued a lot, and I felt like I was losing him. This book helped me step back and really listen to him. I started following the advice, and now we talk without fighting. It’s not easy, but I feel like we’re closer again. If you’re feeling lost as a parent, this book can really help.
