About this listen

A forbidden, Formula 1 romance from New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg.

You don't mess around with a teammates ex. Ever. But that's easier said than done when it comes to Blair Carmichael. She's sexy, intelligent, gorgeous, and one hundred percent off-limits.

And I've never fallen harder.

But I can't touch (when I most definitely want to).

My teams success and my chance at a new contract for next season depend on me keeping my hands on the wheel. And off her curves.

As the season progresses, we secretly steal as much time as we can together in hotel rooms, after races, anywhere we can't be found out. A real romance out in the open would risk her job in the industry, her reputation, and my image not to mention my strained relationship with my teammate.

I've lived my whole life with one mantra. Team first. What I want outside of my racing career hasn't factored in.

Until now.
Until Blair.

She deserves the world and I plan on giving it to her. Even if I have to walk away from the biggest contract of my career.

Blair & Lachlan
Formula 1

Teammate's Ex
Plus Sized Heroine

I love Blair and Lachlan!!! I felt their connection from the very first moment we saw them together!

I love how they opened up to each other sl easily and they just clicked straight away!

Blair deserved someone much better than Rossi and I have no idea how he's going to redeem himself in his book but I cannot wait to find out!!

Lachlan is everything you could wish for! Thoughtful, attentive, hot!!!

I adore this book and can't wait to read more by this author 😊

I love the narrators for this!

Back to the track!

Lachlan is a Formula 1 driver. Coming from Australia, his focus is on driving and winning. In walks Blair, his teammate, Oliver's girl. An instant attraction, a bit of flirting and the two cannot think of anything but each other. But what of Oliver? After years of being a bit of secret, they have had more downs than up lately, and the pressure of the race has Oliver not treating her well. But is it enough to keep her from Lachlan? And will Lachlan just be a rebound? K Bromberg has me so invested in these stories, having me right there at the meet cute, watching and waiting for the win! I loved Lachlan and Blair's push pull, the banter, the insecurities, the choices to make, it all built up and I was just waiting to see where it would all go! This is a pure pleasure listen and has me wanting to go back to the track again!

Gary Furlong and Stella Hunter narrate this gem, and it's fantastic. From the Aussie accent provided by both to the amazing chemistry, these two turned up this heat and kept it sizzling. Furlong was amazing as he voiced Lachlan. A bit off track, pun intended as his feelings began to grow, he created the best Lachlan! Hunter is Blair, and she had a balancing act, lots of emotions and Hunter pulls them all out. These two are fabulous together and made for a wonderful weekend.

Lochlan & Blair

Over the Limit was an enjoyable listen. I did have some struggles with the first part of the book but the characters grew on me and last 15 chapters or so had me invested. Lochlan was a sweetheart and knew how to romance Blair! The bouquet of books, taking interest in her likes and wants, and showing up to cheer her on with her dreams. Blair finding herself and standing up for her worth was everything. This was an insta love story with a fast moving story and some drama with Blair’s long time boyfriend Rossi.
Stella Hunter and Gary Furlong brought this story to life beautifully. Easy to listen to narration.

Loved it!

Oh man I absolutely loved the drama involved in this one!!! But also it was so cute!!

I loved that even though this was the third book it read like a complete standalone and thank goodness for that because it’s the first one I’ve read 😆

The narrators were so amazing in their characters and putting on other voices. Seriously top notch!

Lachlan is perfection. He is so freaking lovely and supportive and everything! I loved him so much for Blaire. She deserved a guy like him. They had such great chemistry and playfulness! Then the steam aspect was sooo good!!! 😮‍💨

All the elements that build and create the drama and then the way it ends had my jaw on the floor, but the epilogues completely make up for that 😆 it was definitely a fun ride!

Great listening

Ok let’s start this review off by saying - I loved the last 50% of the book but the first 50% felt like a slow burner for me. The narrators were amazing - I honestly loved the audible - felt duet would have smashed it out of the park but I’ve been spoilt with my last few audibles being duets that I was thrown with this not being one.
Blair and Lachlan - well what can I say! I really loved these characters - both of them were honestly amazing and Bromberg did fantastic writing on these two characters. Loved how open and honest they were with each other and you could really feel the love between them.
Now Rossi - well I know the next book is about him so maybe il reserve judgement but his character honestly just annoyed me - but maybe that was the point - how different Rossi and Evans actually are and what Blair needed.
Great audible book and I would recommend

More Formula 1 Greatness! Enthralling & Sweet!

K. Bromberg does it again, penning another winning novel set in her “Full Throttle” series, a series of standalone novels set in the Formula 1 race world, with each book featuring a different Formula 1 driver. This third book is Lachlan Evans and Blair Carmichael’s story, and wow, what a story it is, grabbing my attention right from the start and holding it captive the entire time. Lachlan comes from Australia and he is focusing on racing and making the team. That is until he meets her, Blair Carmichael, and can not get her out of his mind, the problem is she shouldn’t be there in the first place, not only does she work for Apex but she had dated his teammate, Oliver Rossi, for a long time. Blair and Oliver were best friends turned lovers, but they grew apart and he treated her poorly, so she ended things. Lachlan always knew that Oliver did not deserve Blair, and despite knowing his interest in her could lead to problems he could not keep away, the chemistry between them was too strong to ignore. Blair felt the same, but agreed to keep their relationship to themselves until everything stabilized, she get thru the one event that could make her career and a name for herself and he signed with a new contract.  OMG, these two were great together and for each other, and it was heartwarming to watch them get to know each other and fall in love. This wonderfully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, charm, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. K. Bromberg, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Gary Furlong and Stella Hunter were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting, accent and all. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Furlong nailed it as Lachlan, the charming and swoon worthy man from down under, also nailing it as Oliver, attitude and all. Hunter was just as amazing in her role as Blair, also grasping all sides of her personalities, from her confidence and determination to her vulnerabilities. Both were fabulous performing the roles of all the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Great chemistry!

5⭐️ audiobook narration
3.5⭐️ story

TLDR: great chemistry between the two MCs but there is too much time spent on the fmc’s ex (she spends over half the book still dating him) and the ending was super rushed

Stella Hunter & Gary Furlong knocked this one out of the park!

This was my first K.Bromberg book, but F1 is having its romance book moment and I wanted to give this one a go especially as the audio narrators are two of my faves.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Lachlan & Blair, but I do wish Blair had stood up for herself a lot more & sooner when it came to her (eventual) ex-boyfriend Rossi, a fellow F1 driver.

Compared to Rossi, Lachlan is the epitome of a perfect book boyfriend though, which was fun to listen to.

There is some drama with Lachlan & Rossi competing for a single spot on the same F1 team, etc. but that gets wrapped up very quickly right at the end. So I would still consider this a pretty low angst romance.

Lachlan & Blair

Lachlan was the swooniest MMC, every girls dream. Gary Furlong and his Aussie accent upped the swoon factor. Loved Blair standing up for herself and gaining her confidence against a boyfriend that wasn’t very nice to her. Stella Hunter’s narration with her mix of sweet and fierce was perfect for Blair.

All of the above 🥰

F1 driver Lachlan Evans can handle any turn on the track, but resisting Blair Carmichael, his teammate’s elusive girlfriend, is another challenge. Their undeniable chemistry is as thrilling as a last-lap overtake. Lachlan's sweetness shines through in moments like when he buys Blair “flowers”, and his belief in her ‘ridiculous, whimsical dreams’ is #boyfriendgoals.

I absolutely adore "All of the above" 😍 it makes my HEA loving heart happy💗

Gary is new to me but 🥵 definitely on my favorites list now. Stella is perfect as usual🤩 Their performances add so much depth & personality to Lach & Blair 😍

There is undeniable chemistry between Blair and Lachlan. And they fit perfectly together.
Blair, the curvy woman in the background and Lachlan, the s3xy Formula 1 driver.
