About this listen
When Fi Lawson arrives home to find strangers moving into her house, she is plunged into terror and confusion. She and her husband Bram have owned their home on Trinity Avenue for years and have no intention of selling. How can this other family possibly think the house is theirs? And why has Bram disappeared?
As the nightmare takes grip, Fi tries to make sense of the events that have led to a devastating crime. What has Bram hidden from her – and what has she hidden from him? And will either survive the chilling truth – that there are far worse things you can lose than your house?

Interesting story dragged out
The central story of a woman returning home to find that other people are moving into her house and that it has been sold to them without her knowledge is a nightmare scenario that can happen in real life. A good story with some twists but all dragged out too much. It's the kind of book that's fine to listen to as you do something else but would be tedious to read or listen to exclusively, though with all the going back and forward in time and switching among characters perspectives it can be confusing if ones mind has wandered.
The narrator is very good.

intriguing
I thought it went backwards and forwards which was quite confusing but it was both interesting and exciting. worrying that this could and I believe does really happen.

Different
This story is very complicated!
The author must have researched the story background very thoroughly and for a very long time!
For which she must be credited....it was a marathon of twists and turns. A little bit unbelievable I think...
However, on the whole it was good and quite enjoyable.

Exhausting
Thought the idea was very gripping but the denouement was so repetitive in style I felt worn out reading it ,expecting the end about 10 chapters earlier. Terrifying prospect though!!

Slow to start but stick with it.
I would have given this 5stars except for the irritating use of word document, hours, mins and seconds and hash tag etc. I was surprised by the totally unexpected twist at the very end. ..Is there a follow up book to this?

Very entertaining
Really enjoyed this and I wasn’t sure how it was going to end.
The female narrator’s voice was incredibly quiet which made it difficult to hear.

Excellent twisted plot well performed
The premise of this story seems, on the surface, to be very unlikely and yet...it could happen to anyone and that's the clever bit. The writer has taken relatively ordinary, flawed people with kids and put them into a nightmare situation which is very believable and the style of using each character in turn to narrate a part of the story is a clever device to move the story along. The performance of the characters is very good indeed and very easy both to listen to and to use to envisage what these people look like, dress like, what their home is like. I really loved this book and I look forward to the writer's next one. Highly recommend
