Depressing

I've enjoyed this but found it depressingly melancholic, well narrated if a little monotone, pity

Brilliant

This book was amazing. Joshua Jackson was a great narrator which made the story come alive. Really good build up to the final part which didn’t end abruptly leaving you wanting more. The build up towards the end was excellent. Really recommend this book.

Enjoyed immensely

Normally the freebies are meh, this is much better. I listened to it over a few days. Disappointed now I've finished tbh. Normally supernatural stories are really bad, this is most definitely worth your time.

"I can see you."

At first I felt that the choice of Joshua Jackson to take the part of the psychic, seer, or whatever the FIB choose to call Nate Russo's unusual abilities was misplaced. I quickly realised that I was wrong: his performance was both excellent and convincing. Usually I am not a fan of this sort of psychological magic and horror, but this was an exception.
A whole range of emotions are there with a strange backstory, well written characters, exciting, and with unexpected turns.
Recommended - and I'm going to immediately download Oracle 2 from Audible Plus

Joshua Jackson is Captivating.

Whether he's Pacey, or Peter or FBI Psychic Nate Russo, Joshua Jackson is a master at storytelling, I absolutely loved this performance as he hunted down missing women taken by The Bone Man.

Andrew Pyper has written a fantastic paranormal procedural that wouldn't be too far from what we might have found on an episode of Fringe. Nate's wrestling with his demons, a woman is missing, and he's in a race against time to hunt down the clues before he loses another voice in his head, all roads lead back home. Back to his childhood bedroom, back to The Bone Man who whispers to him. The characters are very well developed, the world building is great and the performance and sounds really pull you in and leave you wanting to bite your nails and tuck your feet well up under your blanket.

This was very exciting to listen to curled up with a glass of wine.

This combo was awesome, very glad this was included in the membership. I'll definitely be checking out book 2!

An Oracle -.Really ???

JJs narration was reasonable. the story started well with pace and urgency, but once the story set about telling us the background of the main character, the story seemed to dragggg - with no real pace and characters coming in and out of the storyline.
by the end of the story, the plot line was so paper thin & repetitive, I didn't really care how the story ended but as I thought, the ending was ridiculous .....

Well written so you become invested in Nate

What a great book. Unseen twists and turns that keep you guessing and wondering. I love the relationships in the book. Josh has the greatest voice for narration. He sounds like a cop/ FBI. The book is so well written that you can feel what they go through and see what is described. A different book to the normal so well worth a read. Totally loved all of it.
