Summary

The Lux series continues with the third installment of this riveting paranormal YA series.

No one is like Daemon Black. When he set out to prove his feelings for Katy, he wasn't fooling around. Doubting him isn't something she'll do again and now that they've made it through the rough patches, well, there's a lot of spontaneous combustion going on. But even he can't protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they loved. With help coming from the most unlikely source and Adam's death still lingering with those who loved him, friends will become the deadliest of enemies and the villains will no longer be clear. When each step they take in discovering the truth puts them in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more Katy realizes there is no end to what she's capable of. They won't turn back, even if the outcome will shatter their worlds forever.

Critic reviews

"Armentrout keeps the momentum rolling with her third Lux entry. [Fans] will be enthralled from beginning to end. Katy and Dameon's heat sparks as the intrigue increases, too. Friends and enemies take sides, and the ending will leave [fans] yelling." ( RT Book Reviews)

A lot of drama

In the beginning the heroine is deeply affected by the events, she experienced in the previous book. In the middle of the book, she gets a little whiny, However, she ends up being strong

An author I’ll always love.

There is a reason I love this author so much. No matter how many times I re read her books, I always enjoy it like it’s the first time.

Awesome as ever!

I have read all of these books. Absolutely love them all. The audio versions bring a whole different level to the stories and you feel like you're there.
So much can happen when you have aliens living next door as Katy finds out its not always good, but when it is good it can be explosive. Honestly these books are brilliant. Do yourself a favour and read or listen to them. You can thank me later.

Frustrated listener!!

Enjoyed this book as well as the first two in the Lux series - good story with lots of twists to keep you engaged and looking for more, you definitely have to start at the beginning though. A good one for older teenagers - very tame sex scenes compared to JLA's From Blood & Ash or Wicked books - comparable to Twilight books.
Big but though......
Be prepared to revert to reading book 4 Origin. Audible only have the French version of the audio book available. Think a "health warning" should have been included as this is so frustrating and totally baffling to this listener!!! Why make all the other books available 🙄

Pointless when the next book isn't available

It is hard to keep believing in characters who miss so many obvious warning signs, who carry on doing things outside when they know they are being watched and photographed, and when half is them make shitty friends but still expect to be liked for it. Even the only adult hides behind the kids.
Then when you've listened to three of the five books, you find that book four is unavailable.
