Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of One Day in December by Josie Silver, read by Eleanor Tomlinson and Charlie Anson.

Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't exist. After all, life isn't a scene from the movies, is it?

But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man who she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic...and then her bus drives away.

Laurie thinks she'll never see the boy from the bus again. But at their Christmas party a year later, her best friend Sarah introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.

Determined to let him go, Laurie gets on with her life. But what if fate has other plans?

Following Laurie, Sarah and Jack through ten years of love, heartbreak and friendship, One Day in December is a joyous, heart-warming and immensely moving love story that you'll want to escape into forever.

Sucked me in and didn't let go. It made me laugh, cry, ache and shout at the characters. Utterly captivating...one of my favourite books (Holly Martin)
A feel-good, heart-wrenching tribute to the female friends we cannot do without, as well as the men that we fall for. Josie Silver is one to watch (Stephanie Butland)

Wow

I loved this book and could hardly wait for my next chance to listen to more. I'm kind of disappointed that it has come to an end. Will look out for more books like this from Josie Silver

lovely book

I was slightly worried when I discovered the characters were in their twenties - I thought I might not relate with the style of writing. I was wrong.... and as it's about love, most people will relate regardless of age. The main characters were great and the narrators brought their stories to life. I don't normally read love stories but I'm very glad I did.

Lovely story, predictable but still loved it

There was something about this story that gripped me, even though it was predictable it still managed to leave me wanting more once I’d finished it.
Finished it in a few days whilst busing it to and from work :)

Brilliant!

I have sometimes written in reviews that I just couldn't stop listening to an audiobook but in the case of this one , I REALLY couldn't. It was a love story so sweet but painfully sad at times. Loved everything about this audiobook and the narrators were perfect. Can't wait for her next book at the end of 2019!

Eleanor Tomlinson was perfect, as was this book!

Eleanor Tomlinson was absolutely perfect as the role of Laurie, with Charlie Anson being almost as perfect as Jack. I adored this book and its storyline! Highly recommend if you need a good emotional rollercoaster of a romance, it will not disappoint.
