Vietnam, 1967—68.
Eighteen-year-old Marine recruit William V. Amazing story
I have read many personal accounts from the Vietnam war but this has been the most harrowing account yet. How this marine survived is nothing short of a miracle. It is well narrated.

An Infantryman's Vietnam War
I've listened and read quite a few Vietnam war memoirs now and this ranks right up there.
It's brutal, relentless and sad.
If you want to know what it was like on the ground for a young soldier then this book is for you.

Amazing
After listening to a lot books on Vietnam this he definitely got it be rated as one of the best.
I would highly recommend this audio book.

Gritty and Real
A simple account of a soldier's experience in Vietnam. Well constructed and easy to follow. High lights how good the fiction films have been in recreating the experience.
