About this listen
The god of the forge...
Life was good in the Neosphere District. I’d made a name for myself as a renowned supernatural bounty hunter, holding the record for most harpies slayed. But the best part about living in the future? Avoiding the other Olympian gods. Banishing a guy from Olympus because he was “imperfect” tends to make one hold a grudge. Go figure. And no other god possessed the means to time travel. But I did. Thanks to the portal hopping device I forged.
Yup. Life. Was. Grand.
Until a bounty popped up on a certain love goddess. Aphrodite and I had been friends since we were wee gods. I’d be lying to myself if I never thought our “innocent” flirting banter were real on occasion—kidding myself if I said I never wanted things to go beyond platonic. Hence, why I recently kept my distance. For my own sanity. So, of course, I made the grave mistake of taking the goddamned bounty.
The goddess of love...
Since reconciling with my son Eros, after centuries of bad mojo, I’d decided it was time to clean up my act. Ride the straight and narrow. My companion service, Sans Solo, became just the ticket I needed. And it allowed me to use my powers in disguise in modern California under the name Vena Milo.
With the aid of my best friends, and fellow goddesses, the Graces, we ran a legitimate business. All was right in the world.
Until the volcano god showed up. Hephaistos. Heph—a lifelong friend who never failed to confuse me, mind, body, and soul. Especially when he showed up with a magical pair of handcuffs. His audacity pissed me off, but the mere sight of him, the smell of him, made my stomach flutter. That...I couldn’t deny. And when Heph's plan goes to Tartarus things got even dicier and we became...the hunted.
A cyberpunk fantasy Hephaestus x Aphrodite romance that defies myth but answers true love's call.

another winner
I loved Carly Spades Contemporary Mythos series, and I can tell that this series is on a par with it. This is the epic love Story of Hephaistos and Aphrodite. They have loved each other for centuries, but neither has had the courage to say. Heph accepts a bounty on Aphrodite as an excuse to see her again. This story has everything, hidden enemies, family and steam. I loved this story and the narration is perfect

Absolutely Loved it
Of Love and Forge is a futuristic, cyberpunk, fantasy, friends to lovers, mythology tale that follows Hephaestus "Heph", God of the Forge, and Aphrodite "Olympus Ro", Goddess of Love and I absolutely love their story. With never a dull moment, we are take on quite an adventure with these two as they try to out run the bounty hunters after them, while at the same time keep the one secret they've both spent years hiding from each other (but not anyone else).
These two were sweet yet hilarious together and I loved their non stop banter throughout the novel. They had such great chemistry and and you could feel the tension on each page. With continuous action, danger and adventure, we are taken from one world to the next, from the present to the past and I enjoyed every minute of it all. This was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Thomas Locklear and Stella Bloom. They both did a fantastic job portraying these characters giving them their own voices and varied emotions and I have to admit Thomas Locklear perfectly embodied Heph. Their voices blended well together and they were perfectly cast for these characters. It was an absolute pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Amazing
Excellent. The time travel added a very funny twist in this novel. The paradox was definitely a great idea. Well worth seeing these two characters get it together.

Chemistry
Oh my…this is a very unique spin on the gods. With great characters and hot as hell chemistry between them it’s a double threat. If you add in the amazing performance from these narrators it’s a triple threat!!!

love
Amazing dual narration, from two brilliant narrators Thomas Locklear and Stella Bloom. These two, bring the heat, action and wonderful characters to your ears.
This book has it all gods and goddesses, magic, myth and cyberpunk elements.
This fantasy romance follows Hephaistos (God of the forge) and Aphrodite (Goddess of love). Who have been childhood friends, who have secret feelings for each other. Hephaistos lives in the future, in the Neosphere District. He's a supernatural bounty hunter. The two of them meet again after Hephaistos accepts a bounty on Aphrodite.
The shenanigans these two get themselves into is hilarious. The banter between them is priceless!
