Summary
The Dead aren't the only thing to fear….
A kid, an old lady, and a heartbroken man...what could possibly go wrong?
Mikey is holding true to his promise to Nina, and is doing everything he can to keep the group alive. But when something attacks the threesome in the middle of the night, things begin to take a turn for the worse.
Luckily a new group - the N.E.O.s - are on hand to ease Mikey's burden and help fight alongside him. But first he must prove his worth to the leader Aiken and the people that follow him. Within this new group, Mikey begins to find a form of peace that he didn't think was possible after losing Nina, and he discovers his place within this new world. A place where killing isn't for fun, and is only ever committed as a last resort.
His heart is still aching, but at the end of the world there's no time to stop and mourn, and as he searches out a Circus Freak Show and the horrors begin to stack up around him, Nina slips far from his mind.
It's probably best, because there are many more terrors in store for him. Because within the folds of a small town, inside an old candy store, he meets a woman named Clare, her two dogs, and something that he never saw coming.

Oh my word!!
This series just keeps on getting better and better! Utterly addictive and mind blowing!!
Claire C. Riley is a literary creative genius. I started this book with a heavy heart and it ended with a different kind of heaviness that comes with secrets.
Holy bejesus- plot twists and shockers galore! I’m slightly terrified that anyone can even think up all these scenes and execute them with such vivid imagery but I revel in it all the same.
It’s the characters that bring this story to life, their vibrant personalities, the drama and conflict and never ending danger.
Odium book 4 is a whole new level of raw every man for himself- or group of people- it shocking that I’m not shocked at the depravity. There’s a lesson I here for all of humankind.
5++ Guts and Gory Stars.

Wowzer
I feel like I’m a bit late to the party as I’ve only just got round to reading Odium IV and V 😮 (listening on audible to be more accurate) and Omg!!!!!!
I’ve forgotten just how much I love this series; how much of me is invested into the characters and how easily and cleverly Claire manages to play with every inch of my emotions and sanity! WTF! My head is genuinely pounding right now - that feeling of thrill - like I was on a real intense shot of high and then plummeting to a slump when I realised I finished the book and now left desperate for more!
What have you done to me C Riley!!
P.S I missed you Mickey 😍😍😍

Loved it!
Been waiting a while for this to be released in audio. It was well worth the wait. I loved it but the cliff hanger is frustrating purely because I'm concerned how long I'll have to wait for the next book to be released in audio. Really hoping it won't be as long.

This series just keeps getting better
Claire keeps on packing the punches when it comes to the Odium series, I swear it just never lets up. So book 4 is told mainly through Mikey's POV throughout the novel after Nina is presumed dead at the end of the last book. Mikey takes off with Adam and crazy pants Joan, heading for the cabin that was his and Nina's planned refuge. When their truck dies and they find themselves surrounded by wild dogs, a group called NEO come to their rescue and they find themselves taken in by good people and a safe place to rest their head, however Adam is missing and with no clue how to find him Mikey promised Nina he would keep him safe and he sets off on a search and rescue mission with a couple of new characters Phil, Ricky and O'Donnell (who has taken a liking to Mikey and reminds him of Nina).
Things don't go to plan, of course because this is the Odium series and what plays out is a horror of the undead, wild dogs, strange hooded shooters, humans that have well and truly lost the plot and some sexual tension that I am not sure I am all too happy about *gives Claire side eye*
Pacing as always is non stop, I am always impressed with how Claire keeps bringing new ideas and encounters into the mix. The circus was a new one that's for sure, a true circus of horrors! There is no way while reading this book you can guess what's coming. There are twists and turns a plenty and where Mikey ends up at the end of the book leaves me needing book 5 asap!
