'Satisfying... Ashford's knack for expressing modern-feeling relationship dynamics while never stepping out of period makes this story especially easy to enjoy.' (Publishers Weekly)
'Ashford charms readers with an original love story with a fresh and feminist twist: a heroine who can rescue herself when there's a hero around who's willing to save her.' (RT Book Reviews)

not too bad
Not as many errors as most USA authors of English Regency apart from the pre marital sex with a genteel young lady.
But persnickerty really stood out as an USA term from a later period.
The narrator confused me with an Irish name I'd not heard before until I finally realised she meant Sir Liam. None of the others had their titles used every other sentence and certainly not run together as one word.

Great story
It was a pleasure to listen to the narrator was good and the story line was very plausible. Also not too many Americanisms of language thank goodness
