About this listen

From the filthy back streets of Dublin to the deserts of the Sudan to fight and die for the British Empire.

Found guilty of stealing bread to feed his starving family, Michael McGuire is offered the “Queen’s Hard Bargain”, go to prison or join the army. Really interesting listen. Story moves along well

I would describe it as sharpe in the Victoria times. Great story well written and read. Story moves nicely and keeps your attention drawn. Very true to historical events. Very much worth listening to.
