Very Interesting Story.

Although number 3 in a series this book works very well as a stand alone novel. The story is very interesting and although seeming a little far fetched in places it is gripping and fast paced. A misogynistic bent cop, a female defence attorney and a missing husband presumed dead by all except his wife all go to make this an unmissable, edge of the seat thriller. Lara Terco's narration is very good and brings the story and characters to life. Very interesting English accents had me chuckling a few times and mis-pronunciations and incorrect terminology not withstanding. Overall brilliant. ☺
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review.

Interesting

Firstly can I say that this book was so bingeable. I hadn't read/listened to the other books in the series but it didn't matter. One of the things you do have to do is lose contact with reality - at the beginning I kept saying data protection but then I just went with it. There are some plot twists which I thought really that cant be happening but it needed for the plot so I just went with the flow.

I was also thinking catching a taxi to those locations I just couldn't see happening, but again needed for the plot.

The narration worked for me, the English accents were interesting.

lies

Loved the narration of Lara Terco, who brings out the mystery, suspense and characters. Kept me listening.

Dani and her husband Jason travel to DC . Jason has a job interview and Dani is hoping the trip will get their marriage back on track. And it looks like it may be working. Until Jason disappears after the job interview. When Jason is found dead, Dani is wrongly accused of murder. Detective Floyd Hatchett is convinced she is a suspect. Making Dani seeking refuge in London. Dani's search reveals secrets at a US Army base in Germany. Hatchett hunt intensifies to catch Dani.
A book with action, mystery, suspense and a great thriller.
