About this listen
Ten years of dedication to the Navy taught SEAL Jon Rudnick one thing: He's not afraid to risk life and limb for his country. But when navigating military red tape begins to present more challenges than the enemy, it makes Jon question his future. So does Alison Cressly, the woman who doesn't do one-night stands or SEALs but who broke both rules with Jon the eve of his deployment to Afghanistan. He can't get her out of his head - not while away and not now that he's back.
When Ali's life is threatened and military rules won't allow him to intervene, Jon decides it's time to take back control. The question is what would a SEAL do as a civilian? Jon's got skills, drive and an idea, as well as a few teammates willing to cover his six. And he's got the hope of more with Ali.
A team of sexy SEALs, a terrorist threat, and an attraction that can't be denied... it all comes together in this launch of the Hot SEALs romantic suspense series from New York Times and USA Today best-selling contemporary romance author Cat Johnson.

Wow
When the author declared them hot seals she wasn’t joking this book nearly fried my phone. It’s hot and oh so enjoyable. The characters have a real depth to them and they push through a really strong story. Can’t wait for the next one

Stand alone start to series
This book was a nice change from the contemporary romance (i.e. angst) books I have been listening to lately. I would recommend it to people interested in a quick HFN without a lot of drama.
This was the first book I listened to narrated by Craig Jessen. He has a pleasant voice and I appreciated that he made the different characters sound drastically different, though a couple of the voices seemed odd.

Already love this series ❤️
Omgoodness I’m already in love with this series. Hot Navy Seals are trying to create their own team without the government overseeing their every step. Ali gets pushed to hook up with Jon but he is about to get deployed. While gone they have each thought about the other. On his day back home Ali is put in a dangerous situation making him realize he needs her in his life and will do anything to make that happen. Narration is great and I definitely recommend this book.

Hot SEAL
Night with a SEAL is an excellent start to the Hot SEALs series. It's wonderfully-written, steamy, entertaining with fabulous characters. Craig Jessen did an outstanding job with the narration, capturing the nuances of the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, one I strongly recommend. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyable escape
Ali doesn't do Seals or one night stands but when she meets sexy Seal Jon at her friend Darci's 4th July bbq it's an instant attraction, rules go out the window and the pair have a dissappointingly brief one night stand. Jon doesn't do relationships and ships off on a 6 month deployment the next day. They meet again on NYE, share a kiss, passion rekindled but it's only when Ali is held hostage that Jon realises he actually does want more. There is something missing from the story, it's ok but there isn't really any romance and Jon and Ali are just a bit boring.
I would have liked a bit more substance to their relationship and the book finished a bit soon but the story was enjoyable enough and hopefully is setting the scene for the future series involving all the characters cropping up in this story.

More of an intro than anything else
Well, there was no chemistry between the two main characters. More time being awkward around each other than anything else. I could care less what happens to them in the future.
It lays down the ground work for the rest of the series and I'll try the next one. I'm sure they will get better and be more well developed plots... right?
The narrator was decent, but his voice was a little to soft and mellow for my taste when thinking of a hot sexy seal.
