About this listen

“A fun mixture of magic, sensuality, and iconic pin-up girl style. The romance in New Orleans Rush will leave you smiling and filled with optimism.” (Helen Hoang, author of The Kiss Quotient)

Falling for your surly boss is a rotten idea.
Letting him saw you in half is even worse....

Beatrice Baker may be a struggling artist, but she believes all hardships have silver linings...until she follows her boyfriend to New Orleans and finds him with another woman. Instead of turning those lemons into lemonade, she drinks lemon drop martinis and keys the wrong man's car.

Now she works for Huxley Marlow of the Marvelous Marlow Boys, getting shoved in boxes as an on-stage magician's assistant. A cool job for some, but Bea's been coerced into the role to cover her debt. She also maybe fantasizes about her boss' adept hands and what else they can do.

She absolutely will not fall for him, or kiss him senseless. Until she does. The scarred, enigmatic Huxley has unwittingly become her muse, unlocking her artistic dry spell, but his vague nightly activities are highly suspect. The last time Beatrice trusted a man, her bank account got drained and she almost got arrested. Surely this can't end that badly...right?

Romantic Comedy

New Orleans Rush By Kelly Siskind is a romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Holly Fielding.

This is the first book of Kelly’s that I have read/listened to and it definitely won’t be my last. She did an amazing job pulling you into the story and making you fall in love with Beatrice and Huxley.

Holly did an amazing job narrating! She used different voices for the characters which made it easy to follow along with the story. This is the first time listening to her and can’t wait to look into other projects she has worked on.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Romantic Comedies.

a delightfully quirky, fun story

What a delightfully quirky, fun story. New Orleans Rush was a light read-hearted that will hold your attention until the end. With lovable, highly relatable characters, a hint of suspense and mystery and lots of magic, this story was everything you could want in an entertaining read. Its a story about family, love and of course magic. It really made me laugh but there were some sad and tense moments also included in the novel.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by Holly Fielding. She did a fantastic job with the narration and voicing the characters. She was a new to me narrator and I would definitely listen to more narrations from her.
This slow burn romance was a fabulous read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of Romantic Comedies.

Magical

This was book was funny and light, really easy to listen to. I  liked my the way they meet and how she ends up being his assistant which help her  to overcome her fear. Huxley brothers are really cool, both of them and I hope they get a book of their own. After finishing the book, I really want to have some beignets . . .
The narration of Holly Fielding was so good, It's my first time listening to her narration and she did a pretty good job with it, I will definitely be listening more of her narrations.

An enchanting romance

What an amazing book! It had so much depth, emotion and just enough heat. The characters were so well developed and the storyline was brilliant. It had such a seamless and easy flow. I couldn't put it down! I don't know if there will be anymore books about these characters but I wouldn't hesitate to pick them up!!

Holly Fielding was phenomenal! She made it sound like a duel narration. Her different voices were perfect. Her tone beautifully set the mood for the whole book. This is the type of audio performance I yearn for when listening to books!!

Want a rush of a story

The author Kelly always knows how to write a great Rom-Com . It takes place in New Orleans which is a city full of magic . Kelly always puts a twist to every story .
This story is about one of the three brothers. It’s also about a female that needs to do something to save face but she’s also takes live as it comes always making the best of it
Hero is Huxley's. Heroine is Bea.

Bea end up in NOLA and has to earn a living being Huxley's assistant. Helping Huxley with his magic boxes on stage . The beauty is that Huxley needs Bea to loosen him up . He’s a stiff , uptight and has a life with no humour . Bea and Huxley can lean on each other and balance each other out . You get to meet some side characters like Huxley's two brothers.

New Orleans Rush

Beatrice finds herself in another bad predicament, which leads to a bad choice. Now she will be working for Huxley and the Marvelous Marlow brothers. The thing is they are all struggling and perhaps this is going to be the perfect arrangement for them all. Huxley needs to get out of his funk and Beatrice is the one to show him the way. The book is full of quirky happenings and life. Its a sweet story with a great HEA. Holly Fielding does a nice job on the narration Thanks for the recommendation Audiobook Addiction.

"Funny, Enjoyable, Magical, Romantic, Comedy"

I have to admit when I looked at the title, read the blurbs on it, I was expecting something different. Kelly Siskind didn't disappoint me with this story.

You have Beatrice, a young lady down on her luck, got kicked out of her place by a cheating bf, so no place to live.
Then there's Huxley, a magician 🎩 who performs with two of his brothers, in a building that requires a crap load of maintenance; in and outside, A.S.A.P. on a limited timetable.

So, after Bea made a VERY bad mistaken of identity of a car, she is now an magician 🎩 assistant to Huxley on stage; one problem, she has stage fright (😱).

How do they make it all work?Well, I recommend you get the book for yourself and listen. I did enjoy the final storyline and the narrator Holly Fielding does a wonderful job expressing each character.
