About this listen
Can a man who resents the hand he’s been dealt and a woman who spends her days grateful for every little thing find true love in each other’s arms - or are their differences stronger than both of them?
Find out in this funny, sexy, heartfelt romance, and fall in love with Grant and Jules on the sandy shores of Silver Island, home to coffee shops, boat races, and midnight rendezvous.
Even war heroes need a little help sometimes....
After spending years fighting for his country and too damn long learning to navigate life with a prosthetic leg, Grant Silver returns to Silver Island to figure out a future he couldn’t fathom without fatigues and a gun in his hand. He’d almost forgotten how a man could suffocate from the warmth and caring community in which he’d grown up, and if that weren’t bad enough, his buddies’ beautiful and far-too-chipper younger sister won’t stop flitting into his life, trying to sprinkle happy dust everywhere she goes.
As a cancer survivor, Jules Steele knows better than to count on seeing tomorrow. She doesn't take a single moment for granted, and she isn’t about to let a man who used to be charming and full of life waste the future he’s been blessed with. She's determined to get through to him, even if it takes a few steamy kisses....

Jules has me smiling!
Escape to Silver Island to get to know Grant and Jules! This one touched my heart. Melissa Foster navigates the world of adjustments to civilian life, dealing with change and finding love, and it could not have been a better listen! Grant is cranky. There is no other word to describe the man when we first meet him, but when Jules comes into the picture, he doesn't stand a chance to keep that demeanor. Jules has sunshine beaming out of her, and there is no way her positivity isn't infectious. She was putting a smile on my face just listening to her ideas and happiness, proving that life is what you make of it. It's just a matter of attitude. Foster once again melds relevant issues into her story as we become invested in the couple, and I love it! It brings awareness as well as enjoyment. I love this couple, and think it is one of my favorite of all the books I have listened to of hers. They just shine.
Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow are perfectly cast for these two characters. Mack has an element of warmth in her voice that leads us to that happy feeling Jules is putting out. Her voice makes smiling contagious and I spent a lot of time just happy listening! Snow is the broody military man, and he portrays every emotion Grant goes through. He is complex and Snow gives it all to us. I enjoyed this story and can't wait til the next visit to Silver Island!

Wonderful and sweet
I'm so in love with Jules and Grant, they're an amazing couple and I'm so happy they got their HEA.
Jules was amazing, I loved her determination and the way she didn't gave up on Grant despite everything.
I really liked the paced of how their relationship developed, it was so worth it.
But I think my favourite character was Crash, he deserves a mention here, he's just a great cat 😸 and make things interesting.
As for the narration it was perfect. Aiden Snow portrays Grant really great, his voice is so good. Jennifer Mack is fantastic, I loved the way she depicts every emotion, she has an amazing tone and paced that worked well for Jules.

A beautiful story with amazing characters
This book is a gift for people who love hopeful romances. Beautiful, sweet Jules and gruff but wonderful Grant coming together is truly a story to adore. Grant, a military man, lost his leg in his last mission. He's full of regret and anger. His sister's best friend, Jules, wants to help everyone and especially Grant, who she has loved for a while. Can she get him to love his new normal?
I have to say, Grant is great but Jules just touches my heart. She is the kind of person I would love to know in real life- cheerful, sweet and with a heart of gold. If only we had more people like that in real life. I rooted for her completely and cheered for her as Grant fell for her (and who wouldn't?!)
As someone who owns so much of this author's work, this one is right up there as one of my favorites. It was emotional but pure and sweet. I loved seeing characters that we met in prior books and I cannot wait for other characters (like Brant) to get their HEA. An excellent friend-to-lovers romance that I plan on revisiting again and again.
After reading the ebook, i listened to the audiobook and it was amazing, as one would expect from Aiden Snow and Jennifer Mack. Aiden Snow's low rasp is perfect for Grant but he does so well playing multiple characters. Jennifer Mack, though, is a true fine- she has this energetic, sweet voice that was absolutely perfect for Jules. I loved this audiobook!

Gave Me All The Feels
My True Love by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow. This is the second book in The Steeles at Silver Island series.
I absolutely love Melissa’s books. They always pull me in and leave a smile on my face. I loved the relationship between Grant and Jules. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Caught by Love to be released on February 9, 2022 so I can get Archer and Indi's story.
Jennifer and Aiden did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life and I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you love romance books. It will give you all the feels!!!

True Love
My True Love is the second book in the Steele’s at Silver Island series and Melissa Foster has penned another moving triumph.
Grant was a soldier who is dealing with being seriously wounded at war and living with the changes that those experiences have made in his life. He is in a dark place after all that he has experienced.
Jules is his polar opposite, happy and bright despite the cruel obstacles that life has thrown at her. She doesn’t see a disability when she she looks at grant. She sees the man.
This emotional romance would make a great summer listen. It hit me right in the feelings and was a pleasure to listen to. The pacing is great and the story is the perfect mix of sweet and emotional.
The narration by the hugely talented Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow really brought the story to life with their great characterisation and their outstanding voice acting.

Everyone needs a Pixie in there lives
This is an emotional journey between two people who both had to fight for their lives. Jules is a cancer survivor who embraces each day with a smile and Grant who is an amputee who would rather hide each day. This is definitely when opposites attract and Jules slowly gets under Grants skin and brings him back into a world he starts to embrace. Really enjoyed reading this as tackled both issues sensitively, thank you Melissa for another great story, looking forward to reading move from Silver Island
I have just finished listening to this book and it was so good I didn't want to stop listening to it. The narration was really good.

Jules and Grant!
After serving his country Grant has returned home a changed man both physically and emotionally. He is trying to adjust to what the future holds and all he wants is to be left alone but Jules is the one person who refuses to be put off by his surly attitude.
As a child Jules faced the fight of her life head on and rather than it impacting her life in a negative way it has only made her that much more determined to enjoy every experience and appreciate everyone who comes into her life. When she sees Grant struggling, she isn’t about to let him go it alone and she is determined to show him that they are so much stronger together than apart.
This is a heartwarming story about two people who have reacted to the challenges in their life very differently. Jules is exactly what Grant needs in his life as she shows him that life is for the living and that every day that they have together is a gift. The narrators were a great choice as they brought out the sunny and uplifting personality of Jules and the emotions that Grant was feeling as he tries to adjust to his new reality. 🎧Audiobook Obsession
