Summary

Someone’s playing with fire.... There’s no escape.

A serial arsonist is on the loose, and as the death toll continues to mount, DCI Whitney Walker calls on forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish for help. But Lenchester isn't the only thing burning. There are monumental changes taking place within the police force...and there's a chance Whitney might lose the job she loves. She has to find the killer before that happens. Before any more lives are lost.

Another excellent story!

I've loved all of the Cavendish & Walker books so far, and this one did not disappoint either! Every bit as good as the previous books.

Different

It was a good book and topic to write about. Minus the generic, repetitive and cliche ending of them going out to eat at the end of the book, it was amazing. I was hoping for something different there. Something heart-wrenching or that laboured a bit of a surprise. It is what it is though.

Love this partnership!

I'm loving this series, the relationship between George and Whitney is lovely but I have to vent on just how short the books are getting - a 7 hour book with an hour of content from the previous book and the future book, very pricey! need to give them a rest because I will go through one a week! seems a bit greedy.

Compelling series

I stumbled across this series and am completely hooked. The stories feel plausible and there is always a twist. Meanwhile there is the rolling background of the lives of the main characters.

Great story and narration

I enjoyed this story - slightly different from the other books. Also enjoyable to follow the careers of the officers leading up to the merger of two forces.

Good story

Enjoying the series, great two lead characters. Although this book seemed to have a very large number of deaths, but the reasons and capture of the offenders was a small part of the story on this occasion

This series just gets BETTER and BETTER

Another 5🌟 installment from Cavendish and Walker that had me hooked from start to finish.
Each case is unique and well plotted and I love how we really get to know the main characters away from the day jobs too.
Looking forward to the next book but I'm also dreading getting to the end of the series!!!

*Dangerous Remains*

**4.5 Stars**

This case is about an arsonist that DCI Whitney Walker hopes is a one off. But sadly no it is becoming clear that the arsonist is escalating. The arsonist is also blocking the victims escape.

Whitney calls on the services of Forensic Psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish (Aka George) as they set to work a lot of leads end nowhere until they go back to the beginning and things become clearer.

The arsonist’s motives catch up to them where a path has seemingly become clear for one couple there is a twist.

This case is doubly difficult for Whitney because there are changes within her force which mean Whitney and her team will all have to reapply for their jobs and there are too many DCI’s ….
