Summary

More Strange Scotland is a collection of anecdotes, facts, folklore, and legends about the strangeness of that little nation on the western fringe of Europe.

From fairies to witches and the frightening water horses, Scotland has a host of legends. Add haunted castles, strange pub names, and devilish people to the mix, sprinkle with Aberlour spirits and the mists of Skye and then start listening to the audiobook.

If ghostly bagpipers and unseen river monsters don’t scare you off, then you may revel in the stories from this most strange of all countries.

Still good, not as good as the first

The book was enjoyable, although there was some repetition from the first book, as well as one or two editing issues with lines being repeated at the start of chapters. I think there were some instances of mispronunciations as well, but not so many that it detached from the stories.

However the tales were still interesting and strange, and the narration is mostly very good. The book is certainly worth a listen if you enjoyed the first Strange tales of Scotland and wanted to hear more.

Absolutely weird Scotland!

When I first received strange Scotland the first book, I was so excited and I loved it! So when I found out there was a more strange Scotland I got so very excited and couldn’t wait to get started reading it. And more strange Scotland they have a family of Cannibals, a ghost train and something I couldn’t even imagine haunted inns and pubs… Imagine being tipsy and you see someone that is transparent, it must be mind blowing. Anyway,! I highly recommend this book if you love the strange and obscure. Not to mention the awesome Narration by George Ellington. He is one of my favorite narrators of any genre and he’s read a few of them. He is so good I gave this book 5 stars across-the-board and he deserves every one of them.
